Today, permit me to say I have met Jesus. But which Jesus?…lets see

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
A number of times, we find different people giving testimonies about their visions, dreams and life encounters of seeing the Messiah, Jesus son of Mariam. However, we can see that the angels gave us a vivid account of how Jesus would look like if he is seen again. Jesus also explained to us how his body was.

39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
This verse alone tells us one thing…Jesus was mortal and he even ate after this discussion. And every mortal that eats, definitely would use the toilet and defecate. Having a perfect knowledge of this, let us now examine the video below.
Did I hear anyone say that was Jesus? Please play back the video and lets see if any picture of Jesus resembled the other? I wonder which Jesus these people are talking about?
Let’s examine some testimonies from Prof Phillip Wiebe reports on his interviews (conducted about 1990) with 30 people who say they had visions of Jesus In his book Visions of Jesus.
Two visions and a conversion
Jim Link had two separate visionary experiences. The first, as an unbeliever, occurred while he was watching TV at home in Ontario Canada one evening, and it seemed like the screen became invisible and a human figure was in the room. The figure didn’t speak, but he beckoned Jim to come to him and Jim immediately thought it was Jesus and remembered his words in the New Testament: Come to me all you who are weak and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This experience led to him deciding to be a christian. Fifteen years later, while meeting with other christians, he had another vsion, and Jesus questioned him for several hours. The others could hear Jim’s response but saw nothing.
Vision or dream?
Deby Stamm-Loya had an abusive upbringing from her atheist father and as a teenager ended up using drugs (mostly LSD) and a gang leader. But she became interested in religion and read library books and eventually the Bible, and she “surrendered” to the presence she found there. Much later in life, she felt she needed to know God better, and that night a man she instantly recognised as Jesus stood at the end of her bed and spoke to her at length, re-assuring her that he loved her and she should follow him. Deby felt sure she was awake when this experience began, as she could see out through her bedroom doorway where her parents were sitting, although she later ‘lost natural consciousness’. She was equally adamant that this experience was very different to her drug experiences. Deby was, at the time of writing, completing her doctorate degree in ministry and had founded an organisation helping prison inmates.
Guess who’s coming for dinner?
When Maureen Haser was 29 years old, married and living in Ontario, she and her husband went on a marriage enrichment weeken. They were having problems, and she felt she could not offer him unconditional love. Alone in her room, Jesus appeared to her, and though he didn’t speak, he communicated that he loved her and wanted to help her, and she felt she understood forgiveness for the first time. Several years later, while lunching with a friend, Jesus sat down in a vacant chair at their restaurant table, wearing Biblical clothes. Nothing was said, and her friend saw nothing, but after he left, Maureen remarked: You’d think he’d wear normal clothes if he’s coming out to lunch. Simultaneously, both had the thought: That is how you recognise me!
Evidence in the snow
This is a very simple story. Henry Hinn was a 19 year old Greek Orthodix christian when he went to pray in a forest close to his home in Ontario. It had only recently snowed. Jesus suddenly appeared to him, and 2.5m away and spoke to him briefly, to encourage him. After he disappeared, Henry noticed that the snow had disappeared where Jesus had stood, and he could stand on the dead grass.

Finally, a story that goes beyond any of the others, which I will report as outlined in the book. Kenneth Logie was the pastor of a Pentecostal church in California in 1954, when Jesus appeared at an evening service and, seen by the 50 people present at the time, walked up to the platform and, after Kenneth fell to the ground spoke to him in another language. Following some other extraordinary events, a 8mm movie camera was purchased. And so, in 1959, when Jesus appeared again, he was seen by about 200 people, and the event was captured on movie film. The film was subsequently shown publicly to about 200 people, including Phillip Wiebe, then an undergraduate. He has since interviewed several people who were present at the viewing, and most agree with him that it records an unusual vision, though some do not remember it well and some believe an actor was used. This is important, because the movie film was subsequently stolen from Kenneth’s home
How believable are these stories?
It is impossible for us to know without doubt the truth or otherwise of these stories, but Phillip Wiebe says that he feels sure the people he interviewed genuinely believed they had seen what they reported. Some may not be true accounts, but it is clear something happened in many of the cases which had a profound influence on the people concerned.
Wiebe goes on to examine the possible explanations, which fall into three categories:
Supernatural explanations,
Natural psychological explanations, and
Natural neurophysiological explanations.
Come to think of it, have we ever asked such people these questions?
Can you describe the Jesus you saw?
Is he fair or dark in complexion?
What language was he speaking and how was he dressed?
Does he look familiar to the actors in the Jesus films?
How tall is he and did you recognize him immediately you saw him or he introduced himself to you?
Did he eat when you saw him?
Did he appear in form of a light or as a man just like every man is?
Did you notice the holes in his palms and feet?
Was he keeping his beards and had long rough or combed hairs?
Honestly there are lots of questions we need to ask these people claiming to see Jesus and Wallahi from those taht these questions were asked, no 2 accounts are similar as they describe different persons.
Permit me to drop a video were a Christian is recorded trying to disguise as an ex-muslim and claiming to see Jesus. He is the famous Televangelist Mario Joseph. His video is trending online among Christian apologists as they use his words to antagonize Islam. The video below debunks all his claims and should be used by we Muslims to debunk any Christian that shows you his video. Please watch!
Think of the word “Iftar”, Zakat Al-Fitr is the charity that we give at the end of Ramadhan. Here is the foundational hadith that establishes the obligation of Zakat Al-Fitr: Ibn `Umar reported that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhiwasallam), made Zakat al-Fitr compulsory on every slave, freeman, male, female, young and old among the Muslims; one Saa` (a measurement: four double handfuls) of dried dates or one Saa` of barely. [Bukhari]. A “saa” is 4 complete scoops, as scooped up with two hands of a man of average build. It is a measure of volume, not weight. It is equivalent to approximately 3 Litre. Scholarly estimations in (Kg) puts it at 1 SAA’= 2.1 to 3kg.It is to purify our fasts and shield it from any indecent act or speech.
COMMON ERRORS IN GIVING ZAKATUL-FITR
1⃣: CONFUSING ZAKAT AL-FITR WITH ZAKAT UL-MAAL: We are talking about Zakatul-Fitr here (think “Iftar”, i.e. Ramadan). Zakat Al-Maal (Maal literally means wealth), is the Zakah due on one’s money – and that could be due any time during the year.
2⃣: SNAIL MAILING THE MONEY/FOOD OVERSEAS:The Zakat al-Fitr, food not money, MUST be in the hands of the needy BEFORE Eid prayer. One cannot mail the money/food overseas and have it arrive in the hands of the needy after Eid prayer is over.
3⃣: NOT GIVING. Yes, as simple as this error is, it is very common. When one can afford, it is HARAM to skip the giving of Zakat Al-Fitr. Every member of the household must give Zakat Al-Fitr. So, if you have 8 people in your house, Zakat Al-Fitr must be paid x 8, even if the youngest member is just a day old.
4⃣: GIVING IT AT EID SALAH: Some people go to Eid prayers and drop money into the donation box thinking they have done their Zakat Al-Fitr. No, Zakat al-Fitr, which is food not money must be in the hands of the needy or poor Muslims BEFORE Eid prayer. Thus, the person is sinful for having missed the giving of Zakat al-Fitr. May Allah forgive us.
5⃣: GIVING MONEY INSTEAD OF FOOD: The spirit of Zakatul -Fitr is to give food to the needy/poor in the Muslim community, NOT money. Abu Sa`eed al-Khudree (radiallahu anihu), said, “In the Prophet’s time, we used to give it (Zakatal-Fitr) as a sa`a of food, dried dates, barley, raisins or dried cheese”. [Bukhari].N.B. In situations of Darurah (necessity) e.g. communities where it’s practically impossible to find needy Muslims and there is a need to go to far off places, one can give the food to organisations in charge and they can give the food before eid salah in poor needy or muslim communities.
6⃣: GIVING ONE’S ZAKATUL-FITR TO A CHARITABLE BUILDING PROJECT: Some people mistakenly give their Zakatul-Fitr to a charitable project: like the building of a Masjid, or Islamic school. Suffice to say that the spirit of Zakatul-Fitr is that the needy should have plentiful food on Eid
7⃣: GIVING ZAKATUL-FITR TO NON-MUSLIMS:.Regular charity may be given to both Non-Muslims and Muslims. However, Zakatul-Fitr charity is something exclusive to the MUSLIM poor and needy. Hence, one cannot give Zakatul-Fitr to any needy person on the street. “Regular” charity can be given to them, but not Zakatul-Fitr.
8⃣: BANKING ZAKATUL FITR: Sometimes, Masjids that coordinate the collection of zakatul fitr collect Zakatul-Fitr money instead of food (wrongly so, because zakatul fitr is food not money) and they put it in a bank for future Islamic projects. This is wrong. If they must coordinate the collection & distribution to the needy, the correct method is to collect the zakatul fitr from the people in the form of food & give it out on behalf of those people to the needy Muslims before eid salah. May Allah accept our efforts, purify our fasts and shield it from any indecent act or speech with this zakatul fitr. What is worth doing at all is worth doing well.
Those who may receive Zakat al-Fitr are the eight categories of recipients mentioned in Surat Al-Tawbah , They include:
7. those fighting for a religious cause or a cause of God ( Fī Sabīlillāh )
or for
Jihad in the way of Allah and for Islamic warriors who fight against the unbelievers but are not part of salaried soldiers.
8. the traveler
Zakat al-Fitr must go to the above-mentioned categories. We do not ignore Ramadan or Zakat al-fitr.
Purpose
The main purpose of Zakat al-Fitr is to provide the poor which they can celebrate the festival of breaking the fast ( `Eid al-Fitr ) along with the rest of the Muslims.
Every Muslim is required to pay Zakat al-Fitr at the conclusion of the month of Ramadan as a token of thankfulness to God for having enabled him or her to observe the obligatory fast. Its purpose is:
1. As a levy on the fasting person. This is based on the hadith: The Prophet of Allah said, “The fasting of the month of fasting will be hanging between earth and heavens and it will not be raised up to the Divine Presence without paying the Zakat al-Fitr .
2. To purify those who fast from any indecent act or speech and to help the poor and needy.
The latter view is based upon the hadith from Ibn `Abbas who related, “The Prophet of Allah enjoined Zakat al-Fitr on those who fast to shield them from any indecent act or speech, and for the purpose of providing food for the needy. It is accepted as Zakah for the one who pays it before the `Eid prayer, and it is sadaqah for the one who pays it after the prayer.
Who must give.
As stated in the hadith of Prophet Muhammad, Zakatul Fitr is incumbent on all free Muslim, who possesses one sa’ of dates or barley which is needed as a basic food for himself or his family for the duration of one day and night
The three schools of thought other than the Hanafi school state that Zakat should be paid on qualifying wealth owned by the oprhan, child and the insane.

Whoever is guided by Almighty God , no one can Misguide him and surely, whoever is misguided no one can guide him Except Almighty God. The God of Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Jonah, John the Baptists, Joseph , Jesus Christ and other Prophets of God that were not mentioned. May the peace and Blessing of God continue to be with the Noble and Universal Prophet in Person of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).
“Why lies and propaganda against Islam”, one wonders. One might be forced to wonder, why do some people employ mischief in the name of propagating their religion supposedly to have come from God. We have seen many books and articles against Islam that the names of the authors are not real. This is a response to Paul Bayero though we have no idea if he exists.
Islam teaches me that everyone has the right to practice any religion he wants without anybody attacking others because of religious differences. In Qu’ran chapter 109 verse 6;
“For you is your religion, and for me is my religion”
Qur’an chapter 2 verse 256 says
“No compulsion in Religion”
It is unfortunate that some have taken insulting other people’s belief as priority. At this age, no one will make a false claim and go scot-free without being intellectually refuted. There is a story going around about the “great” conversion of Paul Bayero. The Bible said in book of John 8:30, that you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. The Truth will be manifest in this rebuttal.
In the first of Paragraph, Paul Bayero wrote that the northerners or the Muslims were wondering whether it was true that he is now a Christian???” Certainly, NO!!!!!, The Qur’an says that no one can misguide the guided except God and no one can guide the Misguided except God. Mr. Paul also said His Mother was a devout Muslim and she used to abuse Christians anywhere she saw them. After reading that statement of Paul, we begin to doubt whether for real his mother was a devout Muslim, because devout Muslims don’t insult or abuse anyone because of his/her religion as stated in Qur’an chapter 6 verse 108, it says;
“ And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they
insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have
made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their
Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they
used to do”
In second paragraph, Paul Bayero wrote,
” I learnt the secrets of the Quran from Juzili which says that the words of truth and justice are in THAT book”
Whoever is Paul Bayero should provide a scholar or a verse in the Qur’an that confirms this uneducated and ignorant claim. Moreover, how does THAT book translates to the Bibles?
He wrote;
“According to the Qur’an, there are three books the Qur’an, injila and purah. The Torah and the Injeel are in the bible. This means that the Qur’an is saying that the truth is in the Bible”
If he is really serious that the Qur’an says the truth is in the Bible, we can ask him and those who champion him series of questions. Which of these Bibles do we accept to be the truth that the Qur’an points to?

The reader may want to comment, “But these are just translations”. These different versions of the bible go more than being just mere translations. It appears many of them are translating from different manuscript because the different bible versions vary in terms of number of books and verses in them.
For example, In the King James Version of the Protestants, we have 66 Books while in the Good News Bible of the Catholics, we have 73 books. So, we can see that they are not just mere translations but versions.
In 2 Chronicles 22:2 of the King James Bible, we read,
“Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.”
In contrast to this, We read 2Chronicles22:2 in the New International Version,
“Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king and he reigned in Jerusalem one year. His mother’s name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri.”
The King James Version gives the age of Ahaziah to be 42 when he began to reign while The New International version says 22.Which did God inspire? 42 or 22?
The Revised Standard Version, The New International Version and The New World Translation of the bible expunged 16 verses from their Bibles e.g Romans 16:24
Many versions of the bible have problems with 1Samuel13:1, Let us have a look.

The bible is far from being the word of God and as David Cross puts it,” Back when the bible was written, then edited, then rewritten, rewritten, then re-edited, then translated from dead languages, then re-translated, then edited, then rewritten, then given to kings for them to take their favourite parts, then rewritten, then re-rewritten, then translated again, then given to the pope for him to approve, then rewritten, then edited again, then re-re-re-re-rewritten again…all based on stories that were told orally 30 to 90 years after they happened, to people who did not how to write…so…”
While the Catholic Bible consists of 73 books, the Protestants Bible contains 66 books. Then, which of these is the truth?
How can any sane being compare the Bibles that are full of errors, anachronisms, discrepancies, variations, inconsistencies and contradictions with the glorious Qur’an that is the only book that has existed for over a million yet still in its pure pristine purity, unrevised, untampered with, historically and scientifically accurate!
He also forgot that the word “BIBLE” is not found in the Bible itself unlike the Qur’an that is written in several verses of the Qur’an. If you claim God gave you the Bible without giving it a name and we claim God gave us the Qur’an that God named, you should consider what to believe in. Many Christians do not know the meaning of the word “BIBLE’ and which language is it. The word bible comes from the Greek word BIBLOS and it means Collections of Books written by Many different People(historians), when you combine all the writings, it is called Bible, It can be a Biography of Person or Ancient History written by Men, not from God. In summary, the Qur’an knows nothing like Bible, even the Book you call Bible doesn’t know the word because it’s not inside the Bible.
In Mr. Paul’s fourth paragraph, he wrote that “The Qur’an talks more about Jesus Christ than Mohammad” which is very TRUE. The Qur’an talked about ‘Eesa (AS) more than prophet Muhammad (pbuh) because God was the One talking to Muhammad (pbuh), God was telling Muhammad (pbuh) about Jesus Christ and how People misunderstood Jesus Christ. How do you expect God to talk about Muhammad (pbuh) after it’s the same God revealing what to say him?. When reading the Old Testament, have you found the name of Jesus Christ throughout the Old Testament? Obviously NO!!! So why, what happened???
The name of Jesus is mentioned twenty-five times in the Qur’an whereas the name of Muhammad(pbuh) is mentioned only four times, but when going through the Qur’an you will come across the word “SAY” in several verses. Who is that person to say??? That’s Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Anywhere you see the word “Say” in the Qur’an, it is mostly referring to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the word “SAY”appeared in the Qur’an about 332 times.The Qur’an, as Muslims believe is God’s revelation to Muhammad(pbuh) in direct speech addressing all of us, his followers, relating to us, him, and the stories of the Prophets before him. If I were to be talking to Person A and relaying the biography of Person B to him, would not I mention the latter more than the former? Easier example, if I were to be narrating the story of Abraham Lincoln to my grandchildren would not the name of Abraham Lincoln be mentioned more in my speech to them than their own names?
The argument that the name of Jesus is mentioned more times in the Quran than the name of Muhammad is irrelevant since it is God narrating to prophet Muhammad(pbuh) the stories of Jesus, Moses, Abraham and other prophets. Pharaoh is mentioned in the Quran than Muhammad and Jesus (pbuh) combined. Pharaoh is mentioned seventy-four times. More than the names of three prophets of Islam. Does that mean anything at all? Even Shaytan (the devil) was mentioned more!!!
His Mother that he said was a devout Muslim encouraged him to join the Shiite sect???

What verses are the Satanic verses??
Mr Paul said he was a disciple of Sheikh Gumi, but Sheikh Gumi was never a Shiite.
Something that people like Paul Bayero need to know is that the Qur’an is not Muhammad’s word rather God’s word. Many people know about the background of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) even before the revelation of the Quran. Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) was created in order to serve God and to teach the world how to get Closer to God, that’s the essence of the Qur’an not to narrate to you his background, If you need to know about his background, go and read the book “SIRATUN NABIY” bu the Qur’an is just God’s words revealed to Muhammad (pbuh) not what the prophet knew already
The Life of Jesus Christ was recorded in the Qur’an over 1400 years ago, and we can boldly say that the Christians do not know what happened on the very day Jesus Christ was born even his miracles that they know are few. If you want to know more about Jesus Christ from his birth, you have to go through the Qur’an. Even the Bible says that “not all the Miracles of Jesus are in this Book(Bible)” in JOHN 20:30.
Mr. Paul Joined a Jihadist Group as he claimed and they have killed as many Christian as possible in 1987, despite the Qur’anic verses in several chapters that talks about religious freedom and that no one should abuse or kill adherents of other religions. The Qur’an does not instruct Muslims to take innocent lives. In fact, the right to Religion that the Quran gave to People is nowhere to be found in other religious Books. The Qur’an said in Chapter 6 verse 108;
“And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah”
Also the Qur’an makes it clear in Qu’ran chapter 5 verse 32;
“Who ever kills a soul ,it’s as if he has killed the whole of mankind and also whoever save a soul it is as if he has save the whole of Mankind”
Furthermore, the Qur’an gives the right to religion and the highest form of Religious tolerance in Qur’an chapter 109 verse 6;
“For you is your religion, and for me is my religion”
Also in Qur’an chapter 2 verse 256, it says;
“No compulsion in Religion”
In summary of the above paragraph,
“Islam is against taking innocent lives. Anyone who kills people in the name of Islam or take insulting adherents of other faiths as his priority, such is not a good Muslim and is totally ignorant about Islam”
We do not know where Paul got his killing doctrine from. Mr. Paul said that, in Islam, nothing like forgiveness is taught, we then check the Qur’an and see what is in Qur’an 2 verse 199, Qur’an 7 verse 155, Qur’an 11 verse 61, Qur’an 11:52, Qur’an 46:31…
Qur’an 45:14 Says, [O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allaah [i.e., of His retribution] so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.
These are just few verses from a whole lot that talks about forgiveness in the Qur’an.
He wrote;
” I remember that in the mosque in those days, our teachers taught us to pray against Christians that Christians should be destroyed. But in Christianity I discovered that the prayer of Christians towards Muslims all over the world is not for them to be destroyed but for God to show them the light, so that they would join hands together to worship God in the true and acceptable manner. You see the difference.”
Paul Bayero is a pathetic liar. He is not an example of a good Muslim as he wrote in his “fakeversion story”. There is no mosque of Allah where we pray for Christians to be destroyed. It is on Paul Bayero to provide the mosque that prays for the destruction of Christians!
He wrote,
“I hated to have anything to do with Christians, even my wife never wanted to see anything that had to do with Christianity. After the Christians I killed in 1987 during the riot, sometimes I would become confused, blood would be running in my head because of the lives of people that I took, thinking that God would never forgive me.”
The government needs to do something if Paul Bayero is real. He is a murderer and he denied not rather exposed himself.
He went on to call Jesus King of Kings. In the Bible, Jesus was not called a King But a Prince ( Book of Isaiah 9:6). How can a prince be king while the King is alive and will never die. Mr Paul said Jesus is Lord of Lords but Jesus said in the Bible Book of Mark 12:29 that there is another Lord greater than him. Mr Paul can be seen clearly Going against the Word of Jesus Christ. IS THAT A GOOD CHRISTIAN?????
The Bible says in Isaiah 43:10-11,

Mr Paul said that Jesus appeared to Him and that brings to mind the story of Paul of Tarsus in the Bible, the Person that authorized about 13 Books of the New testament . This Paul’s event occurred after Paul claimed that Jesus appeared to him and spoke to him on the way to Damascus (Acts 9:3-8). Surprisingly, he suddenly became the chief spokesman in the name of Jesus, claiming that he was appointed by Jesus to preach to the world (Acts 9:3-6).
Christians have always claimed to have had encounter with Jesus. They tell us that he appears to them yet Christians cannot agree on the true image of Jesus Christ. They cannot take selfies with him when he appears to them or teach them how to worship God.

Say [O Muhammad]: “O mankind! Verily, I am an apostle of God to all of you, [sent by Him] unto whom the dominion over the heavens and the earth belongs! There is no deity save Him; He [alone] grants life and deals death!” Believe, then, in God and His Apostle-the unlettered Prophet who believes in God and His words-and follow him, so that you might find guidance!

The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 26 and Tuesday, June 27 as Public Holiday to mark Eid-el-Fitr.
Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government on Thursday in Abuja.
He enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration for sober reflection and pray for peace, unity and progress of the nation in its march to nationhood.
Dambazau urged all Nigerians to shun hate speeches and divisive tendencies and join hands with the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to build a peaceful, strong and united Nigeria.
He assured of a Nigeria, which guarantees fundamental freedoms, including the right of residence in any part of the country, as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The minister reaffirmed the determination of the Federal Government to protect all lives and property of Nigerians.
He warned hoodlums not to test the will of the administration.
The minister said the government has the capability to deploy security agencies to deal with any individual or group that may threaten the corporate existence of the nation, as well as the peaceful co-existence of the people.
He further assured Nigerians of government’s resolve to be just and fair to all.
The minister wished Nigerians a peaceful and rewarding celebration.

‘Anas said: “I have never witnessed a day better or brighter than that day on which the Messenger of Allah sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam came to us; and I have never witnessed a more awful or darker day than that one on which the Messenger of Allah died on.”
Two months after performing the Hajj (Farewell Pilgrimage), Prophet Muhammad fell ill. He continued to lead the congregation prayers. After one of these prayers he invoked special blessings on the martyrs of Uhud, and then addressed the Muslims:
“There is a slave among the slaves of Allah (The One God) to whom God has offered the choice between this world and that which is with Him, and the slave has chosen that which is with God.”
Upon hearing this Abu Bakr (ra) wept as he understood that the Prophet was talking about himself and that the choice meant his imminent death. The Prophet continued:
“I warn you O Muslims to be good to the Ansar (the Helpers, i.e., those residents of Medina who helped the Emigrants from Mecca). They have performed their duty well. Muslims will increase in number but Ansar will dwindle and be as salt in a meal.“Woe to the nations before you who worshiped the tombs of their prophets. I forbid you to do that. O people, the most unselfish of men to me in his companionship is Abu Bakr, and if I were to take from mankind an inseparable friend he would be Abu Bakr – but the brotherhood of faith is ours until God unite us in His presence. O my dear daughter Fatimah and O my dear aunt Safiyah, spend your efforts in the way of the hereafter for I will not be able to help you against the Will of Allah.
“I go before you and I am your witness. Your meeting with me is at the pool (a lake fed by the celestial river Kawthar where believers will quench their thirst on their entry into paradise.). I fear not for you that you will set up gods beside Allah (The One God); but I fear for you that you will rival one another in worldly gains.
The Start of the Illness
On Monday the 29th of Safar in the eleventh year of Hijrah, he participated in funeral rites in al-Baqi’. On the way back he had a headache, his temperature rose so high that the heat effect could be felt over his headband. He led the Muslims in prayer for eleven days though he was sick. The total number of his sick days were either thirteen of fourteen.
The Last Week
When his sickness grew severe he asked his wives: “Where shall I stay tomorrow?” or “Where shall I stay?” They understood what he wanted. So they allowed him to stay wherever he wished. He moved to ‘A’ishah’s room leaning – while he was walking – on al-Fadl ibn al-‘Abbas and ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib. Head banded as he was, he dragged his feet till he came into her abode. It was there that he spent the last week of his life.
During that period, ‘A’ishah used to recite al-Mu’awwidhat (Chapters 113 and 114 of the Qur’an) and other supplications which he has already taught her.
Five Days Before Death
On Wednesday, five days before he died the Prophet’s temperature rose so high signalling the severness of his disease. He fainted and suffered from pain. “Pour out on me seven Qirab (water skin pots) of various water wells so that I may go out to meet people and talk to them.” So they seated him in a container (usually used for washing) and poured out water on him till he said: “That is enough. That is enough.”
Then he felt well enough to enter the Mosque. He entered it band-headed, sat on the pulpit and made a speech to the people who were gathering together around him. He said: “The curse of Allah falls upon the Jews and Christians for they have made their Prophets’ tombs places of worship.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, 1/62; Muwatta’ Imam Malik, p. 360] Then he said: “Do not make my tomb a worshipped idol.” [Muwatta’ Imam Malik, p. 65]
Then he offered himself and invited the people to repay any injuries he might have inflicted on them, saying:
“He whom I have ever lashed his back, I offer him my back so that he may avenge himself on me. He whom I have ever blasphemed his honour, here I am offering my honour so that he may avenge himself.”
Then he descended, and performed the noon prayer. Again he returned to the pulpit and sat on it. He resumed his first speech about enmity and some other things. A man then said: “You owe me three Dirhams.” The Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “Fadl, pay him the money.” He went on saying:
“I admonish you to be good to al-Ansar (the Helpers). They are my family and with them I found shelter. They have acquitted themselves credibly of the responsibility that fell upon them and now there remains what you have to do. You should fully acknowledge and appreciate the favour that they have shown, and should overlook their faults.”
In another version: “The number of believers would increase, but the number of Helpers would decrease to the extent that they would be among men as salt in the food. So he who from among you occupies a position of responsibility and is powerful enough to do harm or good to the people, he should frilly acknowledge and appreciate the favour that these benefactors have shown and overlook their faults.”
And said: “Allah, the Great, has given a slave of His the opportunity to make a choice between whatever he desires of Allah’s provisions in this world, and what He keeps for him in the world, but he has opted for the latter.”
Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri said: “Upon hearing that, Abu Bakr cried and said: ‘We sacrifice our fathers and mothers for your sake.’ We wondered why Abu Bakr said such a thing. People said: ‘Look at that old man! The Messenger of Allah says about a slave of Allah who was granted the right between the best fortunes of this world and the bounty of Allah in the Hereafter, but he says: We sacrifice our fathers and mothers for your sake!’ It was later on that we realized what he had aimed at. The Messenger of Allah was the slave informed to choose. We also acknowledged that Abu Bakr was the most learned among us.”[Mishkat al-Masabih, 2/546]
Then the Messenger of Allah said:
“The fellow I feel most secure in his company is Abu Bakr. If I were to make friendship with any other one than Allah, I would have Abu Bakr a bosom friend of mine. For him I feel affection and brotherhood of Islam. No gate shall be kept open in the Mosque except that of Abu Bakr’s.”
Four Days Before His Death
On Thursday, four days before the death of the Messenger of Allah he said to people — though he was suffering from a severe pain: “Come here. I will cause you to write something so that you will never fall into error.” Upon this ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab said: “The Prophet of Allah is suffering from acute pain and you have the Qur’an with you; the Book of Allah is sufficient unto you.” Others however wanted the writing to be made. When Muhammad heard them debating over it, he ordered them to go away and leave him alone. [Sahih al-Bukhari, 2/637]
That day he recommended three things:
Jews, Christians and polytheists should be expelled out of Arabia.
He recommended that delegations should be honoured and entertained, in a way similar to the one he used to do.
As for the third — the narrator said that he had forgotten it. It could have been adherence to the Holy Book and the Sunnah. It was likely to be the accomplishment and the mobilization of Usamah’s army, or it could have been performance of prayers and being attentive to slaves.
In spite of the strain of disease and suffering from pain, the Prophet used to lead all the prayers till that Thursday — four days before he died. On that day he led the sunset prayer and recited:
“By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another.”
In the evening he grew so sick that he could not overcome the strain of disease or go out to enter the Mosque. ‘A’ishah said: The Prophet asked: “Have the people performed the prayer?” “No. They haven’t. They are waiting for you.” “Put some water in the washing pot.” Said he. We did what he ordered. So he washed and wanted to stand up, but he fainted. When he came round he asked again “Have the people prayed?” Then the sequence of events took place again and again for the second and the third times from the time he washed to the time he fainted after his attempts to stand up. Therefore he sent to Abu Bakr to lead the prayer himself. Abu Bakr then led the prayer during those days [Sahih al-Bukhari, 1/99]. They were seventeen prayers in the lifetime of Muhammad sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.
Three or four times ‘A’ishah talked to the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam to exempt Abu Bakr from leadership in prayer lest people should despair of him, but he refused and said: “You (women) are like the women who tried to entice Joseph (Yusuf) into immorality. Convey my request to Abu Bakr to lead the prayer.”
A Day or Two Prior to Death
On Saturday or on Sunday, the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam felt that he was well enough to perform the prayer; so he went out leaning on two men in order to perform the noon prayer. Abu Bakr, who was then about to lead the prayer withdrew when he saw him coming; but the Prophet made him a gesture to stay where he was and said: “Seat me next to him.” They seated him on the left hand side of Abu Bakr. The Prophet led the prayer, and Abu Bakr followed him and raised his voice at every ‘Allahu Akbar’ (i.e. Allah is the Greatest) the Prophet said, so that the people may hear clearly. [Sahih al-Bukhari, 1/98,99]
A Day Before His Death
On Sunday, a day before he died, the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam set his slaves free, paid as a charity the seven dinars he owned and gave his weapons as a present to the Muslims. So when night fell ‘A’ishah had to borrow some oil from her neighbour to light her oil-lantern. Even his armour was mortgaged as a security with a Jew for thirty sa’ (a cubic measure) of barley.
The Last Day Alive
In a narration by ‘Anas ibn Malik, he said: “While the Muslims were performing the dawn prayer on Monday — led by Abu Bakr, they were surprised to see the Messenger of Allah raising the curtain of ‘A’ishah’s room. He looked at them while they were praying aligned properly and smiled cheerfully. Seeing him, Abu Bakr withdrew to join the lines and give way to him to lead the prayer. For he thought that the Prophet wanted to go out and pray.” ‘Anas said: “The Muslims, who were praying, were so delighted that they were almost too enraptured at their prayers. The Messenger of Allah made them a gesture to continue their prayer, went into the room and drew down the curtain.” [ibid. 21640]
The Messenger of Allah sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam did not live for the next prayer time.
When it was daytime, the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam called Fatimah and told her something in a secret voice that made her cry. Then he whispered to her something else which made her laugh. ‘A’ishah enquired from her after the Prophet’s death, as to this weeping and laughing to which Fatimah replied:
“The first time he disclosed to me that he would not recover from his illness and I wept. Then he told me that I would be the first of his family to join him, so I laughed.”
He gave Fatimah glad tidings that she would become the lady of all women of the world [Rahmatul li’l-Alamin, 1/282]. Fatimah witnessed the great pain that afflicted her father. So she said: “What great pain my father is in!”. To these words, the Prophet remarked:
“He will not suffer any more when today is over.”
He asked that al-Hasan and al-Husayn be brought to him. He kissed them and recommended that they be looked after. He asked to see his wives. They were brought to him. He preached them and told them to remember Allah. Pain grew so much severe that the trace of poison he had at Khaybar came to light. It was so sore that he said to ‘A’ishah: “I still feel the painful effect of that food I tasted at Khaybar. I feel as if death is approaching.” [ibid, 2/637] He ordered the people to perform the prayers and be attentive to slaves. He repeated it several times. [ibid. 2/637]
The Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam Breathes His Last
When the pangs of death started, ‘A’ishah leant him against her. She used to say: One of Allah’s bounties upon me is that the Messenger of Allah died in my house, while I am still alive. He died between my chest and neck while he was leaning against me. Allah has mixed his saliva with mine at his death. For ‘Abdur-Rahman – the son of Abu Bakr – came in with a siwak (i.e. the root of a desert plant used for brushing teeth) in his hand, while I was leaning the Messenger of Allah against me. I noticed that he was looking at the siwak, so I asked him – for I knew that he wanted it — “Would you like me to take it for you?” He nodded in agreement. I took it and gave it to him. As it was too hard for him, I asked him “Shall I soften it for you?” He nodded in agreement. So I softened it with my saliva and he passed it (on his teeth).
In another version it is said: “So he brushed (istanna) his teeth as nice as he could.” There was a water container (rakwa) available at his hand with some water in. He put his hand in it and wiped his face with it and said:
“There is no god but Allah. Death is full of agonies.”
As soon as he had finished his Siwak, brushing, he raised his hand or finger up, looked upwards to the ceiling and moved his lips. So ‘A’ishah listened to him. She heard him say: “With those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace with the Prophets and the Truthful (as-Siddiqin), the martyrs and the good doers. O Allah, forgive me and have mercy upon me and join me to the Companionship on high.” [ibid, 2/638-641] Then at intervals he uttered these words: “The most exalted Companionship on high. To Allah we turn and to Him we turn back for help and last abode.” This event took place at high morning time on Monday, the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, in the eleventh year of hijrah. He was sixty-three years and four days old when he died.
The news of the Prophet’s death was so hard upon close companions and Muslims that some of them refused to believe that he had passed away. (At the close of his death, he looked youthful as if in his forties and his face always shown a great radiance). Upon hearing this, Abu Bakr (ra) who was later to become the first caliph went to the mosque and delivered one of the noblest speeches:
“O People! If Muhammad is the sole object of your adoration, then know that he is dead. But if it is Allah (The One God) you Worshiped, then know that He does not die.”
He then recited the following verse from the Qur’an, 3:144, which was revealed after the Battle of Uhud:
“Muhammad is no more than an Apostle: many were the Apostles that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, will you then turn back on your heels? If any did turn back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah; but Allah (on the other hand) will swiftly reward those who (serve Him) with gratitude.”
Ibn ‘Abbas said: “By Allah it sounded as if people had never heard such a Qur’anic verse till Abu Bakr recited it as a reminder. So people started reciting it till there was no man who did not recite it.”
Ibn al-Musayyab said that ‘Umar had said: “By Allah as soon as I heard Abu Bakr say it, I fell down to the ground. I felt as if my legs had been unable to carry me so I collapsed when I heard him say it. Only then did I realize that Muhammad sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam had really died.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, 2/640,641]
Burial and Farewell Preparations to His Honourable Body
On Tuesday, his body was washed with his clothes on. He was washed by al-‘Abbas, ‘Ali, al-Fadl and Qathm — the two sons of al-‘Abbas, as well as Shaqran — the Messenger’s freed slave, ‘Usamah ibn Zayd and Aws ibn Khawli. Al-‘Abbas, al-Fadl and Qathm turned his body round, whereas ‘Usamah and Shaqran poured out water. ‘Ali washed him and Aws leant him against his chest.
They shrouded him in three white Sahuli cotton cloth which had neither a headcloth [Sahih al-Bukhari, 1/169, Sahih Muslim, 1/306] nor a casing and inserted him in.
A sort of disagreement arose with regard to a burial place. Abu Bakr said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah say: ‘A dead Prophet is buried where he dies.’ ” So Abu Talhah lifted the bed on which he died, dug underneath and cut the ground to make the tomb.
People entered the room ten by ten. They prayed for the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. The first to pray for him were people of his clan. Then the Emigrants, then the Helpers. Women prayed for him after men. The young were the last to pray.
This process took Tuesday long and Wednesday night (i.e. the night which precedes Wednesday morning). ‘A’ishah said: “We did not know that the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was being buried till we heard the sound of tools digging the ground at the depth of Wednesday night.” [Mukhtasar Sirat ar-Rasul, p.471; Ibn Hisham, 2/649-665; Talqih Fuhum Ahlul-Athar, p. 38, 39; Rahmatul li’l-Alamin 1/277-286].
The Prophet lived a most simple, austere and modest life. He and his family used to go without cooked meal several days at a time, relying only on dates, dried bread and water. During the day he was the busiest man, as he performed his duties in many roles all at once as head of state, chief justice, commander-in-chief, arbitrator, instructor and family man. He was the most devoted man at night. He used to spend one- to two-thirds of every night in prayer and meditation (Qur’an 73:20). All of his children died before his death except Fatimah (ra) who died six months after his death. All of the Prophet’s wives (known as Ummul Momineen, i.e., mother of the faithful) passed their widowhood during the remaining period of their lives.
The Prophet’s possession consisted of mats, blankets, jugs and other simple things even when he was the virtual ruler of Arabia. He left nothing to be inherited except a white mule (a gift from Muqawqis), few ammunition and a piece of land that he had made a gift during his life time. Among his last words were: “We the community of Prophets are not inherited. Whatever we leave is for charity.”
The Prophet’s actions and words were remembered and later recorded (known as Hadith), so that Muslims in future generations to the end of time could try to act and speak as he did. He has served as an example for all Muslims in all periods to modern times. He will remain a model example for all of humanity.

Agreement reached on increasing efforts to end tension between Gulf states and Qatar, sources from Erdogan’s office say.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has spoken with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and its new crown prince over the phone and they agreed to increase efforts to end tension related to Qatar, sources from Erdogan’s office said.
Turkey has offered support to Qatar after Saudi Arabia and several other nations severed ties with Doha over accusations of funding terrorism and fomenting regional instability.
Qatar denied the accusations and said the measures were “unjustified”.
Erdogan spoke with the Saudi leaders on Wednesday evening and “agreement was reached on increasing efforts towards ending tension in the region related to Qatar”, the sources said in a statement.
The leaders also stressed their determination to strengthen Turkish-Saudi ties, while Erdogan congratulated Mohammed bin Salman on his promotion to crown prince, the sources said before adding that Erdogan and King Salman also agreed to hold face-to-face talks at the G20 meeting in Hamburg next month.
King Salman made his son next-in-line to the throne on Wednesday, handing the 32-year-old sweeping powers as the Kingdom seeks a radical overhaul of its oil-dependent economy and faces mounting tensions with regional rival Iran.
On June 7, Turkey’s parliament fast-tracked legislation to allow troops to be deployed to a military base in Qatar, two days after Gulf countries cut ties with Doha in the worst diplomatic crisis in the region in years.
“This indeed suggests that Turkey sees its defence ties with Qatar as an indispensable pillar of its strategic posture in the region,” Can Kasapoglu, a defence analyst from Turkey’s EDAM, said.
“It also shows that Ankara would not drastically alter its long-term vision for regional fluctuations.”
Turkey has a military base in Qatar that currently houses about 90 Turkish soldiers.
The Turkish forces conducted their first training at Tariq bin Ziyad military base earlier this month in drill that had been long planned.

Sincerity before God is associated with faithfulness in Islam. It is one of the most important criteria God uses to judge the state of an individual’s heart. If you do things with sincerity , people will trust you.
The Arabic word for sincerity is “ikhlas.” God judges the actions of people based on sincerity of intention. In particular, he discerns whether a person commits good deeds out of genuine desire to please him or merely to attain the adulation of other humans. Ikhlas is often translated into English as “sincerity of intention,” a distinction that underscores the centrality of personal motivation.
One English translation of a hadith, or saying, of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), reads, “Verily, deeds are rewarded by intention. And everyone will have the reward for that which he has intended.” Sometimes the Quran refers to Muslims themselves as “the people of truth.”. Another hadith translation notes, “Whoever loves for Allah [or God], hates for Allah, gave for Allah and forbade for Allah, then he completed his faith.” In other words, Muslims should be motivated by sincere faith in all things.
Sincerity towards Allah is the best type of sincerity. The Muslim is being sincere towards his Lord if he achieves sincerity in three aspects: faith and proper belief, acts of obedience, and morals and manners. Faith does not mean mere wishful thinking. The one who is sincere in his faith is the one who attains faith in the way his Lord wants from him, which includes sincerity in faith, sincerity in intention, and sincerity in fear of Allah, may He be exalted. Not every act of obedience is sincere unless it is done, both outwardly and inwardly, in a manner which Allah likes.
Allah has described the sincere in one verse, in which He says ; Al-Baqarah 2:177
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
Sincerity in our day to day activities is also very important, in communication with each other, transactions, negotiations e.t.c such that those acts that are related to our mundane lives can also be rewarded by Allah (SWT).
