MUHAMMAD (PBUH), A MERCY TO MANKIND – ACADIP LECTURE (19TH OCTOBER 2017)

Welcome to the update of Question and answer session of the Academy of Islamic propagation (ACADIP) lecture held at Bodija Market, Opposite JMR Motors, Bodija Ibadan, Oyo State on October 19th 2017.

Conversation between Questionnaires and Mallam Yusuf Adepoju.

First Questionnaire.

My name is Victor…. My question goes thus;

1. If Muhammad (PBUH) is a mercy to whole Mankind, then why will fighting be ordained to him, I support my claim with Quran 9:29 and Quran 2:216.

Microphone finds Mallam Yusuf Adepoju and he start his analysis;

Jizya is a special payment for protecting the Non-Muslims, So fighting with the Unbelievers who doesn’t pay Jizya as agreed upon between the Non-Muslims and the Muslim is what the verse is talking about not a violence fight.

Muhammad is a mercy to the whole mankind but To turn the table around, Jesus was sent to the world with sword;

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

2. It is about the Marriage of Aisha?

Microphone finds Mallam Yusuf Adepoju and he start his response;

Marrying off at such age is a culture and practice that has been existing for long.

According to Catholic Encyclopaedia, Mary was just 12years when she got married to Joseph who was 90 years so that is not a point to disprove Prophet Muhammad because he marries Aisha (R.A) at the age of 9years.

In 1929, Church of England clearly states and agreed that a 12years old lady can get married.

Now, Let’s see what the Bible has to say about this!

Luk 2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

You can now see, Anna (a prophetess was married off at the age of Seven years).

3rd questions goes thus, Mr Victor said Why Michael Hart put Muhammad (PBUH) in number one of the greatest 100 because he is the author of the Quran, do you agree with Michael Hart?

Mallam response;

We Muslim knows Quran is clearly revealed from Allah to Muhammad (PBUH) and it was never written by the Noble prophet.

Allah says; : (This is) a Revelation sent down by the AllMighty, the Most Merciful” – Quran 36:5

Second questionnaire.

Mr Nathaniel by name.

My questions are just three;

Firstly, Muhammad (PBUH) shows no mercy to those that left Islam because he said you should kill them.

Secondly, Where is it in Islam to Pray five times?

And my final question is that you claim to believe in Jesus when you’re not an Israelite.

Now, Let me start from your third question…..

Islam clearly support that we Muslim should believe in the previous prophets sent before Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), We Muslims believe Jesus is a Prophet of Allah sent to the Israelites unlike you Christians that claim you are Jesus’ people, Are you an Israelite?

……And the man became incapacitated.

About praying five times which you ask, let me give you some analysis, it is either you take it or leave it.

Allah says;

Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 21:
لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا

Certainly you have in the Apostle of Allah an excellent exemplar for him who hopes in Allah and the latter day and remembers Allah much.

Based on the above verse, Muhammad (PBUH) has clearly states how many Solat we must offered for us as revealed to him from Allah our Lord.

And finally, your last question about killing those that left Islam. Let me ask you, how many people have you seen that was killed because they left Islam, have you seen any? No one will kill any body because he/she left Islam.

Now, see what the bible says;

2Ch 15:13 That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

The Bible gave you the formula to kill those that didn’t worship your God.
