An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force – Newton’s First law of motion.”

Yesterday, I got into a debate with some folks over their Fatwas on the Charlie Charlie game – a game of two pencils placed on each other, then the supposed demon, “Charlie” is summoned, he then answers Yes or No by moving to any of them on the paper.

For the record, let me state that I do not encourage any Muslim to play the game as it could open doors to misguidedance and believing that a so-called Charlie will answer your questions or tell your future is CLEARY shirk.

That said, I called most of the Fatwas lazy because all the Fatwas I saw did not even attempt to conduct a research on the so-called Charlie charlie game. Where did we leave thinking out of the box without contradicting the Qur’an? In several verses of the Qur’an, Allah keeps asking, Do you not reason?”.

In the Qur’an is a perfect example for us. Allah asked us not to worship idols and went further in demystifying them. They cannot see, cannot talk, cannot help themselves. Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was a perfect example in this regard as well.

In the video below, I have demystified the Charlie Charlie game. There is no Charlie demon, there is no spiritual connection. It is just tricks, the likes of those who used to do as African children.

One thing we need to understand that lazy Fatwas like this are counterproductive. When a sheikh called a trick sorcery, people of desires or those looking for knowledge of the unseen may think they have found something new. Now, think about a situation where a Sheikh carefully observes or calls on experts in the field to properly understand the phenomenon, finds out it’s a trick, demystifies it that people get to know it’s ordinary and goes on to warn them on the damage partaking in such game may have on their religion!

It is sad that the one who cannot reason or will deliberately not reason beyond letters is quick to call everyone rationalists or thinks himself as the custodian of Islam knowledge.

In the same video, I have attached a $1000 challenge to whoever would come to me with a two pencils and paper, stay five feet away from the paper and do the Charlie Charlie game.

The trick applied is pure physics and I have explained in the video. Let’s hope those who say they are disappointed in us or we’ve lost our respect will be humble enough to, at least, think, if not apologize.

Don’t move near Shirk, don’t play the Charlie Charlie game and the truth is that there is nothing spiritual about the Charlie Charlie game, just tricks, lies and deception.

Let’s build a word of reason. Fatwas are to be well-researched.
