Miracle can be defined as something very lucky or very good that you did not expect to happen or did not think was possible.

Magic on the other hand is defined as a special power that can make strange or impossible things to happen,

While Deceit is a behavior that tries to make people believe something that is not true.

In the world today, there are different forms of Christianity, but some of their uniting factors are “the crucifixion of Jesus” and the belief that “pastors are able to perform miracles”. Some even believe that the more the miracle performed by a Pastor, the closer such pastor is to “God”.

They are quick to believe that miracles performed by these pastors are inspired by God, such that an average Christian today goes to Church with the hope of receiving some kind of miracles.

However, the so called media is quick to label pastors whose attempt to perform miracles failed or led to commotion as ‘fake’. Hence, the questions begging for answers are:

What if the dubious plan to perform the miracle actually worked out?

Would the flock of sheep belief it was a miracle inspired by God?

Those that were exposed while trying to perform their 100th miracle, will it be correct to say the 99 initial ones were spiritually inspired and free from dubious acts?

What is the assurance that those who successfully carried out theirs were not using one dubious means or the other?

Finally, are you sure you are not just being scammed with these “miracles”?

The usual biblical verses quoted to support these miracle doers are Mark 16:17-18

“And these signs will accompany those who believe; In my name, they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues, they will pick up serpent, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them, they will lay their hand on the sick and they will recover”

However, we only see pastors who supposedly “cast out demons” and “heal the sick” all in the name “miracles from God” only to fetch them more sheep and subsequently more tithes.

No one, I repeat, No pastor can boldly come out to drink poison or touch a serpent to prove the verse Mark 16:17-18 except only if it is going to be another “planned miracle”.

Looking at the afore definitions, Miracle is something that can be performed by God alone, as he is the knower of the unseen, the supreme, whose ability is beyond human reasoning.

Magic on its own seems to be ancient, and involves some inexplicable dramas, so these pastors are definitely not able to perform magic on the alter in front of their sheep because they wouldn’t want to lose more sheep and found wanting in their tithes.

The only option left, DECEIT – making these sheep who believe in these miracles accept lies as truth.

A lot of  the “successful” and “fake” miracles are going viral on the internet these days, a good example would be a Zimbabwean pastor, the so called “Man-Of-God” who put a call through to God, with his own mobile phone, to make consultations for a woman who came seeking miracles.

Not so long after, a bishop claimed he had a WhatsApp chat with His father (Jesus) not to save a soldier being lynched by the mob. This same bishop once went to heaven and even took pictures.

We await the pastor who will Skype with God, or perhaps the ones who phoned Him can give us His digits.

May Allah save us from shear ignorance! Aamin.

Still on the list was a pastor who paid a poor artisan a sum of #500,000 naira to pretend like a dead man inside the coffin, because he wants to perform a miracle of waking the dead. As Allah will have it, the planned procedure wasn’t successful as the specimen actually lost his life while in the coffin. Imagine! What if the plan was actually a success, who knows, the pastor would probably become a mini god.

Since an average Christian who attends church regularly is in quest for miracles, it is pertinent for these “men of God” to also look for means to satisfy their sheep who are desperately in need of miracles, either by crook or by hook!

The alarming rate at which pastors are performing miracles and getting exposed is enough to make a rightly thinking individual and a sane man belief that there is no miracle anywhere, no deity worthy of worship except  the creator of the universe (Allah) and the ones he approved for His prophets from the first of them, Prophet Adam (AS) to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the seal of them.

The benefits of these miracles to the pastor has blinded them to the extent that they ignore Jesus’s warning;

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?. And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work inequity. (Matthew 7:21-23 KJV)

It was stated unequivocally in the above verse that Jesus said he would deny these so called men of God because they are workers of iniquities!!

However, an interesting question which might bog a truth seeker’s mind from these above verses may be, “What then is the will of the Father which is in heaven?”

Again, in Jeremiah 14:14 is another glaring denial, audible to the deaf and visible to the blind of these so called pastors is;

Then the lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name ,I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and division, and a thing of nougt, and the deceit of their heart .(Jer. 14:14 KJV).

Conclusively, since Jesus has clearly warned against performing wonders in his name, Then these pastors are not true followers of Jesus and are not concerned about the salvation of their souls and the souls of their sheep, but the benefits of this fleeting world. Know surely that as a member of their congregation, you are just an instrument, a tool to achieve this selfless goals.
