MAKE NO MYSTERY OUT OF WHAT IS NOT MYSTERIOUS

0

In the world today, Islam is the simplest, clearest and most understandable religion to be practiced. Infact, Allah (SWT) did not burden us with any part of the religion, Allah, the most gracious, most merciful.

Pristine Islam is not affiliated with occultic practices, shenanigans and excessive worship. The fundamental teachings of the religion does not make life unbearable for the worshipper rather it understands the natural concept of man being revealed from the creator of all that exists.

Man, on the other hand is arrogant and full of following his desires. A student of knowledge should be careful in choosing where he derives knowledge from. The Sheikh with the long flowing Jalab is corrupted. Some many appear as authorities in the religion but they are in the real sense, agents of Shaytan.

For a long time, we have seen people inventing different matters into the religion which includes celebration of saints. This is pathetic and saddening. As an outsider, if you have an opportunity to study the history of Islam and you hear of sects in Islam founded on the deeds of their holy ones, saints and their exploits, you will expect names like;

*Muhammadiyyah

*Abu Bakriyyah

*’Umarriyah

*Uthmaniyyah

But NO! Over praising the above listed is itself out of Islam not to talk of someone who was not in the first three generations of Muslims. Did the prophet (pbuh) not say,

“Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Messenger.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, no: 3261)

So, what evidences do you have to celebrate a supposed sheikh??

Do you consider him a prophet when Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the seal of all messengers?

Do you venerate him because of his Knowledge that you cannot just call yourselves Ahlul ‘Aisha?

Are his poems so great that you are not called Rumiyyah?

And what books has he written that you do not ascribe to yourself, “Imam Gazaliyyah?

Do you consider him worthy of helping you when in your Solah you recite,”It is you (Allah) we worship, it is you we seek for help”?

You think praying through him will make your prayers answered when Allah (SWT) says he is closer to you than your jugular vein?

You think he is a bestower of blessings yet you celebrated last year but this year, you still stuff people up inside trailers and buses?

Even Allah does not mandate that you travel miles to pray nor worship him but for a mere mortal you do,  hanging on your neck his picture like the Christians’ cross?

Better to sleep at home than incur Allah’s wrath.

O ye Muslim!!! This religion is not complex but logical, rational and does not contradict common sense.

O ye Muslim! In the Qur’an, Allah has explained all about the Deen in details. Do not make a mystery out of what is not mysterious!!!

O ye who believe, fear Allah as he should be feared and die not except as Muslims SUBMITTING to the will of Allah. (Qur’an 3:102)

May we not go astray. Ameen

Towards curbing moral decadence

TOWARDS CURBING MORAL DECADENCE.
Most times, when we talk or write against half nudity, many say that it is the heart that matters. Indeed. The fact that no one will deny the fact that dressing half nakedness contributes to moral decadence is one reason why it should be curbed.
In an attempt to curb dressing half nude, all fingers point to the girl child. This article does not in any way against educating the girl child about the detriments of dressing half nude, rather it suggests another way to curb this shenanigan in our society today.
Have we thought of educating the boy child? Yes, him!!! Not to make use of much lines, I’ll go straight to the point.
One reason why dressing half naked in now rampant especially in the African society is because it is on demand. It is a fact that many of these girls in skimpy skirts have snatched many married men from their wives.
The boy child should be taught to go for the brain instead of the face and legs. If men begin to go for the brain, many of our Lady celebrities will never ever have a place in the society.
In a world where men are captivated and enticed by the brain instead of the cleavages, I see more slay queens receiving senses.
As much as the girl child needs to be educated, education the boy child is a more effective at helping the situation.

So, Emmanuel Macron, the next French president is now the 21st century hero who married his wife at 55 when he was 30 years about ten years ago. The wife now 64 and Emmanuel Macron, 39.
But Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) marriage to Khadeejah in the 7th century is not worthy of being sung?
——————————
We will continue telling our Muslim brothers and sisters suffering from low esteem that no matter what you do to please the disbelievers, they will never be pleased with you and nothing makes sense except it is western.
3+3 is not equal to 6 so far it is Islamic but 5+1 = 6 so far it is western.
Beheading murderers is barbaric but throwing pebbles called bullets at them is humane.
Islam is archaic because it says don’t smoke, but thanks to the ministry of health that ways smokers are liable to die young.
When Islam says do this and all scholars agree, some will look for one heretic ‘Scholar’ with PHD in Islam studies as an excuse.
One day, when some fundamental teachings of Islam some ‘mozlems’ reject are celebrated by the non-Muslims we pray it will not be too late.
Sirnucy Lafiagi wrote, ” A Muslim is neither desperate to live in this world or leave it”
Indeed, not desperate to live as what we have in this dunya are trials and corruption, not desperate to leave because one essence of being alive is to do more good deeds and seek more repentance.
The way Islam maintains a balance between life and death, so does it maintain balance between liberalism and extremism.
Islam, our pride, their fear…

Acadip challenges pastor Chris; replies Dr. Ijabla Raymond

0

Dr. Ijabla Raymond wrote an article in a response to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. In his article, he seized the opportunity to lambaste theists in general using Christianity and Islam as a case study.

Before going to tackle what Dr. Ijabla wrote, I will address Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s stance on the creation of women not forgetting to mention the story he narrated in his church whilst his members were laughing to his shenanigan.

A CHALLENGE TO PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Pastor Chris narrated his encounter with a Muslim who claimed Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was mentioned in the Bible. In a nutshell, he told his church members how he was able to make the man become a Christian that day. We at the Academy of Islamic propagation (ACADIP) promise to provide not less than 10,000 Muslims for him to Christianity if he would summon courage and agree to debate and prove to the chief lecturer of Academy of Islamic propagation, Ustadh Yusuf Adepoju that prophet Muhammad is not foretold in the Bible. Not only would he be doing a great service to his ministry, but also to Christiandom.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PBUH) IN THE BIBLE

Had Pastor Chris met the likes of Eneye Ahmad Jamiu Emma or someone like myself, it would take him a heart of stone to reject the fact that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was mentioned in the Bible. I will go further in this article to give some analysis.

In Deuteronomy 18:18, we read,
“Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.”

The verse above is a prophecy. Christian apologists are quick to say this prophecy refers to Jesus Christ, yet the trinitarians amongst them forget it talks of a prophet not a God the son, while a Muslim like me will argue that it refers to prophet Muhammad (pbuh). However, to agree to disagree with them, we will compare prophet Moses (As), prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and Jesus (As).

The prophet was said to be from among the brethren of the Jews. The three prophets were all from the same father. Moses and Jesus were Jews from Isaac, while Muhammad was Arab from Ishmael. Abraham fathered Isaac and Ishmael hence it is proper to say the three prophets were brethren.
The verse says, “A prophet like unto Moses”, let us see…

* Moses had a father, Muhammad had, Jesus had no father.

* Moses and Muhammad had natural birth, Jesus was conceived by a virgin.

* Moses and Muhammad married, Jesus didn’t.
* Moses and Muhammad had children, Jesus didn’t.

* Moses and Muhammad brought laws, Jesus didn’t.

* Moses and Muhammad had children, Jesus didn’t.

* Moses and Muhammad were rulers, Jesus wasn’t.

* Moses and Muhammad died natural deaths, Jesus didn’t.

There are so many similarities between Moses and Muhammad (pbuh) that I have decided not to write in this article but would graciously give them via phone call or messages.

We read in another book of the Bible, St. John

“1:19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

St. John 1:20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
St. John 1:21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.”

The verses above talk about John’s encounter with the Jews. The Jews were expecting three prophets, Elijah, Jesus and Muhammad. They asked him if he was any of the three and he denied. After they asked if he was Jesus or Elijah, they asked, “are you the prophet?”. It is ridiculous when Christians argue that this prophet not mentioned by name is Jesus when it is apparent that they had asked him about Jesus. The unnamed prophet was the prophet prophesied in Deuteronomy 18:8 which is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

He was also prophesied in the book of Isaiah.
Isaiah 29:12 “And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.”

In the cave of Hira, Angel Gabriel asked prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to read and he said, “I cannot read”.  In Qur’an chapter 96, it starts with a command, “Iqra” meaning “read”.
There are so many proofs to substantiate the claim that Prophet Muhammad is in the Qur’an which I will not mention as this topic is just an introduction to the article.

Anyone with questions on this topic should contact the author through the contact details attached to this article (at the end).

PASTOR CHRIS’ HYPOCRISY

5+1 does not equal 6 but 1+5 equals to 6 so far it is about misunderstanding Islam. When Islam says no to alcohol, nudity, charging of interest, Muslims making these claims are portrayed as archaic, extremists and terrorists but when they have a taste of the negative effect of vices of this regard e.g Alcohol, they begin to say the same thing with the Muslims though in a different way.

If his failed marriage is what taught Pastor Chris to write on women being obedient and respectful to their husband, we may question if there’s any sincerity of purpose in his writing. He quoted the Bible to support his claims but forgot to mention this verse to his wife before divorce,

“1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1 Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”

This is nothing but hypocrisy. His claim that Women were created as an afterthought is an insult to womanhood though not surprising as the Bible already degraded women from killing rape victims that do not shout while being raped to marrying off rape victims to their rapists for 50 shekels to blaming Eve for the supposed curse on humanity. Genesis 3:12&16.

THE INHERENCE OF DR. IJABLA RAYMOND

Atheists, freethinkers and others in the same circus are fond of looking on theists (those who believe in a God, deity). They see theists as retarded, brainwashed, mentally enslaved etc. Ironically, they who attach intelligence to themselves are fond of criticising all religions in light of Christianity. If the Bible says snakes eat dust, automatically, they criticise all religions with it. It is imminent that people like these should be taught that a single religion doesn’t represent every ‘Religions’.

Being a Muslim, I’ll refute Dr. Ijabla’s major arguments against Islam in this article.

This is the link to his article  http://saharareporters.com/2016/09/17/pastor-chris-oyakhilome-right-god-created-women-afterthought-dr-ijabla-raymond.

We cannot watch while someone conveniently fabricate lies without being challenged.

ISLAM; 500 YEARS AFTER CHRISTIANITY?

Dr. Ijabla Raymond erroneously claimed Islam came 500 years after Christianity. This is false. In Islam, all messengers of God were Muslims from the first man Adam(As) to Moses (As), to Jesus (As), to the last Prophet, Muhammad (As). Linguistically, Islam means total submission to the will of God while a Muslim is someone who submits to the will of God. Hence, these messengers were all Muslims. Islam is as old as Mankind. Hence, the claim that Islam came 500 years after Christianity is truthfully false.

ON ‘AISHA (RA)

The critics of Islam are quick to jump to the marriage between prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and ‘Aisha (RA). One thing to note is that those who hate and detest prophet Muhammad (pbuh) most lived during his time. They said he was mad, a sorcerer but none of them made mention of his marriage with ‘Aisha. Rubbishing a norm of 1,400 years ago with a 21st century phenomenon depicts absurdity on its own. Let us read on marriage age consent before the 21st century;

* Richard A. Posner is chief judge of the U.S court of appeals, Seventh Circuit Chicago. Katherine B. Silbaugh is associate Professor at Boston University School of Law, they say that before the 1900s age of consent was ten years old, “The law governing the age of consent has changed dramatically in the United States during this century. Most states codified a statutory age of consent during the nineteenth century, and the usual age was ten years.”

* Professor of Sociology Anthony Joseph Paul Cortese says that a 50 year old man being with a girl under 10 (being intimate) Under United States law was legal until the mid 1960s,

“In 1962, the American Law Institute recommended that the legal age of consent to sex- that is, the age below which sex is defined as statutory rape- be dropped in every state to age 10 (Katchadourian and Lund 1972: 439). In fact, until the mid 1960s, the legal age of consent in Delaware was 7 (Kling, 1965: 216). So a 50 year old man could legally have sexual intercourse with a 7 year old boy or girl.”

* The American colonies followed the English tradition, and the law was more of a guide. For example Mary Hathaway of Virginia, was only 9 when she was married to William Williams. Portugal, Spain, Denmark and the Swiss canons, initially set the age of consent at 10-12 years and then raised it to between 13 and 16 years in the second half of the 19th century.
(Discover the truth).

So, anyone having issues with a marriage of 1,400 years ago when marriage age limit in Daleware, USA is 7 not up to 400 years ago, such person is nothing but a bigot. Such individual can do us a favour by telling us what age did his ancestors marry their wives.

WIFE BEATING IN ISLAM

In another fruitless effort, he claimed Islam oppress women became it supports wife  beating. One might wonder why Muslims all over the globe see not beating their wives if Islam teaches it. Let us read what the Qur’an says,

The Holy Qur’an states: “And as to  those on whose part you fear desertion (nushuz), admonish them, and leave them alone in the beds and chastise(wadribu-root dharaba)  them. So if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Surely, Allah is ever Exalted, Great.” Ch.4:34“
And If you fear a breach between the two, appoint an arbiter from his people and an arbiter from her people. If they both desire agreement, Allah will effect harmony between them. Surely Allah is ever Knowing, Aware.” Ch. 4:35

Obviously all the measures from admonishment to marriage counseling mentioned here are attempts to save a marriage that is in danger of dissolution. If the chastisement in this verse means beating one’s wife to an inch of her life, it is hard to see how that would contribute to rejuvenating the marriage. On the contrary, it probably would destroy the marriage, by making  the wife hate her husband. It could end, the husband as well as the marriage; more than one
abused wife has killed her husband, or mutilated him. This is very bad  advice and the  Qur’an does not give bad advice.

The word, ‘Dharaba’ (chastise), does not suggest repetitive or intense beating.
The word, “Dharaba”, translated as “chastise”, is in the singular, so only one strike is allowed. If (2 R’s or R’s rather than one) “Dharraba”, had been used, it would have meant to strike repeatedly on intensely. That word was not used in this verse. “Dharaba”, can mean also  “to set an example.”

Asma Barlas quotes Amina Wadud that this verse,” should be read as prohibiting unchecked violence against females. Thus this is not a permission, but a severe restriction of existing
practices.” (“Believing Women” in Islam’, Asma Barlas, . U. of Tx. Press, Austin, 2002.)The chastising mentioned in the verse apparently was symbolic, a way for the husband to express his displeasure for serious misconduct on the part of the wife.  Barlas writes that,
“Tradition holds that the gesture should not cause pain. Hence some exegetes favor using a folded handkerchief. She notes that ‘dharaba’ also means to prevent further gross misbehavior by making clear the husband’s unhappiness with his wife’s behavior.”( Page 188, Barlas).

Ibn Abbas, a companion of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said that the chastisement could be with a toothbrush, or something similar. The Holy Prophet, according to Tirmidhi (10:11) said, “ You have a right in the matter of your wives that you do not allow anyone whom you not like to come in to your houses. If they do this, chastise them in such a manner that it should not leave an impression.”.

When some women complained of their husbands ill treating them, the Prophet, said, according to Abu Daud (12:42), “ You will not find these men as the best among you.”

John Esposito writes, “Muhammad’s wife Aisha narrated that, “Muhammad never physically struck anyone with his own hand. Neither the Qur’an nor the Hadith record Muhammad as ever mistreating or losing his temper with any of his wives, even when he was unhappy or
dissatisfied.” (Page 106, Esposito ‘What everyone needs to know about Islam’, 2002).

In the major hadith collections—hadith about striking, all emphasize that striking should be done in such a way as not to cause pain or harm.
The Founder of the Shafi Law School maintained that it is preferable to avoid striking altogether. Despite the fact that domestic violence continued to exist in male dominated cultures and to be legitimated in the name of religion, neither the majority of Quranic verse, nor the hadith support or permit it. (Page 107,
Esposito)(reference: Unveiling Islam)

WOMEN IN ISLAM

Islam as a religion raises the standard of women and gives no room for them to be oppressed. However, Islam teaches EQUITY while the so called humanists, feminists call for equality. Equity brings about fairness while equality does not. Not even nature gives equality. We have countries with different time. Some six hours head, some six hours behind, some one, some eight etc.
By nature, men and women are not equal. A woman cannot impregnate a man neither could a man breastfeed a baby. Shall we now cling unto nature and say, “How unfair have you treated men and women!!!“. Women are to respect and obey their husbands while it is the duty of the husband to protect and provide for his wife. The man and the woman have rights over one another and duties to one another. Thus, Equity is defined.

Equity is justice and fairness. In a house where we have three children. The eldest being 15yrs old, the second being 13yrs old, the third one being 8yrs old. Equity is that you give them food according to how much they can eat, equality is giving them the same amount of food which doesn’t define fairness.
In times of war, women and children are not to be killed according to Islam. should we call this oppression of women and children? Or should we say men are oppressed because they form the larger number of the military?
It is this equity that Islam teaches and should be embraced. There are many women in Islam that are renowned.

Aisha – The Founding Mother Scholar, Judge and Orator

There are many texts which unquestionably show that Aisha was a huge precedent for female scholarship. Trained for 9 years in the house of the Prophet, Abu Musa al-Ash’ari the great scholar of the companions is reported to have said about her,
“Sometimes we the companions of Muhammad (pbuh) would get confused about Islamic teachings. We would then go and ask Aisha about itand we found she always had the knowledge we were seeking in it.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, 3883)

Other examples are examples are Zubayda bint Ja’far al-Mansur who pioneered a most ambitious project of digging wells and building service stations all along the pilgrimage route from Baghdad to Mecca, Sutayta who was a mathematician and an expert witness in the courts, Dhayfa Khatun who excelled in management and statesmanship, Fatima al-Fehri who founded the Qarawiyin mosque in Fez, Morocco, which became the first university in the world, and the engineer Al-‘Ijlia who made astrolabes in Aleppo.
Islam goes further to talk on marriage,
“They (your wives) are a clothing (covering) for you and you too are a clothing (covering) for them.” (Qur’an 2 Verse 187)
“And one of His signs is that He has created for you, spouses from amongst yourselves so that you might take comfort in them and He has placed between you, love and mercy. In this there is surely evidence (of the truth) for the people who carefully think.” (Qur’an 30 Verse 21)
Umar sums up the drastic change to Arabia regarding women,
“Back in the days of ignorance before Islam, we didn’t consider women of much significance at all. This all changed with the emergence of Islam in which God mentioned them with respect and gave them new rights then we realized their rights over us.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, 5843)

WHO ARE THOSE THAT WILL MAKE PARADISE?

Dr. Ijabla turned Qur’an commentator overnight wrote, “From all indication, the only women in Allah’s heaven are the virgins whose sole purpose is to satisfy the sexual lusts of the men there”

It is ironic when a supposed humanist with morals can boldly tell a lie. One might wonder where his moral values are. Let us read verses of the Qur’an,

“Race each other to forgiveness from your Lord and to a Garden, whose breadth is like that of heaven and earth combined, made ready for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. That is Allah’s favor, which He gives to those whom He wills. Allah’s Favor is indeed immense.” (Surat al- Hadid, 21)

“Gardens of Eden that the All-Merciful has promised to His servants in the Unseen. His promise is always kept.” (Surah Maryam, 61)

“Allah has promised the men and women of the believers Gardens with rivers flowing under them, remaining in them timelessly, forever, and fine dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. And Allah’s good pleasure is even greater. That is the great victory. “(Surat at-Tawba, 72)

” O self at rest and at peace, return to your Lord, well-pleasing and well-pleased! Enter among My servants! Enter My Paradise!” (Surat al-Fajr, 27-30)

In other verses, the joy and happiness of the believers who enter Paradise, as well as their gratitude to Allah, is described as follows:

They will say: “Praise be to Allah, Who has fulfilled His promise to us and made us the inheritors of this land, letting us settle in Paradise wherever we want. How excellent is the wage of [righteous] workers!” You will see the angels circling round the Throne, glorifying their Lord with praise. It will be decided between them with truth. And it will be said: “Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the Worlds.” (Surat az-Zumar, 74-75)

These verses talk about the reward of Muslims and it doesn’t say male of female rather Men and Women.

RELYING ON THE QUR’AN FOR MORAL GUIDANCE

Dr. Ijabla is of the opinion that the Bible and Qur’an should not be used for moral guidance. We may ask him, “what then should be used?”. Being an advocate for Islam, the Qur’an is the only book on earth today that can provide the guidance mankind needs for bliss in this life and the Hereafter.

Of several verses that talk of morals in the Qur’an, I will mention just one as this article is turning into a book already.

“Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people, judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing.” Qur’an 4:58

This is the Qur’an enjoining justice to be granted in judgement not taking religious beliefs into cognizance, void of favouritism.

MIXING RELIGION WITH POLITICS

It is disappointing that Dr. Ijabla could think he was making criticising religion using politicians quoting religious scriptures as a case study.
The one with no hope of meeting God or going to paradise  live recklessly, Squanders wealth as he knows he is not going to take it anywhere while the one hoping to meet God and inherit paradise do more good deeds with his wealth.

Hopefulness and hopelessness differentiates a theist from an atheist. It is pathetic to see people ascribing religions to themselves live as though they do not have any religion. Hence it is not sufficient to say you belong to any religion but living it. If everyone practise their religion as they are, The world would be a better place most especially NIGERIA.

The problem is not religion, individuals are the problems. Atheists and freethinkers are quick to call for scrapping off religions because they think religion has caused harm than good to humanity which is false.
We have modern day Christians too teaching that they do not need a religion and Christianity isn’t a religion. These are people who claim for spirituality.
______________
In response to claims like these;
Religion is defined as the believe in and worship of a supernatural controlling power. Any practice that someone or some group is seriously devoted to.

How much one follows the tenets of a particular faith defines how spiritual one is. You cannot be spiritual without being devoted to some rules or have a concept of a supernatural force. Hence, One needs religion to be spiritual not the other way round. Worthy to note that without religion, there is no spirituality.
It is unfortunate that we have many in suits, Jalabias, Robes mounting the pulpit, mimbar etc today that do not live what they preach, leaders who ascribe religions to themselves just to seek the favour of the public.

You can only understand what I mean when you see the same court that authorizes charging of interest and requires that you use the Bible or Qur’an to swear yet both books stand against charging of interest.
I say again, that you see a president that swears by the bible yet legalizes gay marriage yet the pages of the Bible that include the destruction of the people of Sodom and Gomorrah are not torn off. No blame is on religion.

Religion has only been a tool in the hands of people drunken with the opium of power, will to dominate and oppress to achieve their aim. The day is giving account is coming.
People should be taught to practise what they preach or claim to believe not calling for scrapping off religion.
Educate a child without religion, teaching no moral values and graduate an educated criminal.

WHERE LIES HUMANISM?
Dr. Ijabla portrays himself as a humanist but if asked what is the basis of his humanism, we might not get a response. If Humanism as defined, is an ethical system that centers on humans and their values, needs, interests, abilities, dignity and freedom (except rejecting the existence of God, then true humanism lies in Islam in light of these few verses,

“And what can make you know the path which is steep?
It is the freeing of a slave
Or feeding on a day of severe hunger

An orphan of near relationship

Or a needy person in misery

Then will he(man) be among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion” Qur’an 90:11-17

And emphasizing the need for good deeds,

“So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.” Qur’an 99:7

There are several other verses not mentioned. Indeed, we are in the age of reason. An age where people should live upholding the truth. We hope Pastor Chris Oyakhilome will accept this challenge of refuting the claim that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is in the Bible and also if Dr. Ijabla would prefer a live debate on what he has against Islam.

INVITING Abdul Karim AWAJE AKUKI TO ISLAM

0

To Abdulkarim Awaje Akuki,

All praise be unto Allah the Lord of all that exists. I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship except ALLAH and prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is his messenger. Whoever Allah guides cannot be led astray and whoever Allah leads astray cannot be guided and Allah does not change the condition of a people except they change what is in their hearts and He misguides not except the defiantly disobedient.

I am delighted seeing posts from our brother Abdulkarim questioning his faith,  Christianity.  This is indeed a good start. These questions you have been asking, I asked them about 4-5 years ago and I got no answer hence being in a state of confusion. My confusion was a result of lies and irrational teachings not appealing to me yet I needed salvation, many people are still in that confused state today. Now, imagine dying in such a confused state. I pray this will not be your portion and I hope Allah guides you back home.

The Christians must have started calling you a Muslim, claim it. They should have started calling you an anti-christ, it is not surprising, that is their sadistic game. I will quickly go into the subject matter so as not to make this article boring.

I am using this opportunity to invite you into Islam. If you are sincere and brave enough to question Christianity, studying Islam with a sincere heart should not be an ado. Prophet Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (pbut) are three men on the same mission, Monotheism. While Moses said God is one in Deuteronomy 6:4, Jesus and Muhammad did same in Mark 12:29 and Qur’an 112:1 respectively.

By now, you should study Islam and see that criticisms against Islam and the Qur’an are false. Nowhere does the Qur’an ask Muslims to kill innocent people. We have over 1 billion Muslims, imagine if we have 1 billion terrorists in the world!!! Is it not preposterous to think, assume, imagine or believe that people who do not make up to 2% of the Muslim population understand Islam than the over 98%?

Unlike the Bible with different numbers of books in them, errors, discrepancies, anachronisms and contradictions, the Qur’an remains the only book on earth that has remained in its pure pristine purity for over a millennium, untampered with, unchanged and void of error.

Do you not love how the Muslims Worship in one congregation in one language and one mode of worship, bowing down like Moses, Abraham and other prophets did? Check Nehemiah 4:8-6, indeed the way people worshiped there is not Christian like but like Muslims. In Matthew 4:8-10, Satan asked Jesus to bow down and worship him with Jesus rebuking him. Jesus Christ didn’t ask his disciples to clap, sing and dance to worship. What Christians fail to realize is there’s a difference between praise and worship, the latter lacking in Christianity. Today, in church, Worship is slow while praise is fast, who gave  such order in the Bible. It is time to come to Islam and worship God how He  should be worshipped.

I know by now, you should start asking who was the prophet not mentioned by name in John 1:19-21. The Christians will tell you it is Jesus but John already denied he is not Jesus being asked earlier. I am telling you that Christians can never answer who is that prophet. We then start to question the power of ‘holy spirit’ because it teaches them to answer us with lies. If they won’t agree it is prophet Muhammad, we should ask, why was Elijah  and Jesus mentioned by name in that verse and not the last prophet.

Do you know that the Qur’an says all messengers of God were sent to their respective nations but only Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was sent as a mercy to mankind. The Qur’an did not downgrade the prophets, in fact, the Bible confirmed it. In Matthew 15:24, Jesus said he was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel while in Mathew 10:5-6,he asked his disciples not to go to the house of the Gentiles or Samaritans but to the house of the lost sheep of Israel. Even, he said those who will rule with him are from the twelve tribes if Israel. Now, someone who claimed to have been sent to the Israelites alone, how can he die for the sins of humanity? Does Ezekiel 18:20 and Deuteronomy 24:16 not say the father shall not die for the sins of the son and vice versa?

By now, that we Muslims call ourselves slaves of God should not be a thing of disgust or detest, rather you should be proud to call yourself one as it would gladden you to know the reward for slaves of God, we read,

“Romans 6:22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.”
Eternal life, that is the reward. We Muslims believe in Jesus but as a servant, slave and messenger of God. Does Mathew 12:18 not confirm this? Even John 17:3. A Muslim is one who submits to the will of God and do you know in John 5:30, Jesus said he can of his own do  nothing? He furthered, “I have not  come to do my will but the will of God that sent me”
Death is sure and we keep getting closer to the grave, see these Qur’an verses,
Qur’an 80:34-37,

On the Day a man will flee from his brother, And his mother and his father, And his wife and his children, each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others

Allah also says, Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 23:

And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him?

Surah An-Naba, Verse 40:
Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, “Woe unto me! Would that I were dust!”

I’ll stop it here. Between confusion and salvation, the choice is yours. I will get to you a copy of my book,” Truth for the truth seekers “and if Allah wills, we see one on one soon.
Come into Islam. Our efforts on you is not self interest motivated. We don’t have churches where you will pay tithe to. This is about you, not about us. A soul that doesn’t make Jannah, it could have been better it if were mere dust.
And bear witness, you received admonition.
For now, peace.

North Korea on 'maximum alert' after US threats (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Deputy foreign minister warns Washington that North’s nuclear weapons are ‘not an illusion’, following US threats.

North Korea has warned its army is on “maximum alert” after the US vice president visited the heavily militarised border between the two Koreas and reiterated Washington’s position that “all options are on the table” in dealing with Pyongyang.

Sin Hong-chol, North Korea’s deputy foreign minister, told Al Jazeera in an exclusive interview on Monday that Donald Trump’s administration “should look at the world with open eyes”.

North Korea showcases new missiles at military parade

“The time of dictating orders by brandishing the US military might has gone. If those businessmen in power in the US thought of intimidating us by any military or sanction threats – as the [Barack] Obama administration used to do and failed – they will soon find out such threats are useless,” Sin said.

“If we notice any sign of assault on our sovereignty, our army will launch merciless military strikes against the US aggressors, wherever they may exist, from the remote US lands to the American military bases on the Korean peninsula, such as those of Japan and elsewhere.”

Sin also said that the six-nation talks aiming to make the Korean peninsula free of nuclear weapons were “throttled at birth”.

“The nuclear weapon in our possession is not illusion; it is not a commodity that may be traded for American dollars – nor is it for sale. So it cannot be put on the negotiating table with the aim to rip it off,” he said.

Tensions between Pyongyang and Washington have soared in recent weeks as a series of North Korean missile tests have wrought ever-more bellicose warnings from Donald Trump‘s administration.

On Monday, US Vice President Mike Pence – visiting the world’s most heavily militarised border that divides the two Koreas – hinted that military options against the North have not been ruled out.

“The people of North Korea, the military of North Korea should not mistake the resolve of the United States of America to stand with our allies,” Pence said, adding: “The era of strategic patience is over.”

“All options are on the table as we continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of South Korea,” he said from the village of Panmunjom, inside the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ).

Mike Pence warns North Korea ‘era of strategic patience is over’

On Sunday, Pyongyang conducted its latest missile test, which the US and South Korea said crashed in failure only a few seconds after launch.

The Trump administration has indicated it will not allow North Korea to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead to the western United States.

Pyongyang insists that it needs a powerful arsenal – including atomic weapons – to protect itself from what it says is the ever-present threat of invasion by hostile US forces.

Speaking to Al Jazeera from Seoul, Korea specialist and author Donald Kirk noted that the rhetoric between the rivals continues to escalate and a “violent confrontation” was a real possibility.

“Certainly the tension level is very high. Vice President Pence talked very tough today … He left open the possibility of a pre-emptive strike,” said Kirk.

Tensions between Pyongyang and Washington go back to the 1950-53 Korean War, which ended in an armistice, not a peace treaty. But the heat has been rising rapidly since Trump took office in January.

The USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier has been diverted back to the waters off the Korean peninsula after heading for Australia, and US satellite imagery suggests that the North could conduct another underground nuclear test at any time.

'Deadly US air strike in Syria hit peaceful mosque' (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

US claims Aleppo air raid targeted al-Qaeda, but rights groups and researchers say civilians were hit in mosque.

US forces failed to take necessary precautions before launching a lethal drone strike in northern Syria last month that hit a mosque full of worshipers, three separate investigations have revealed.

Research by Human Rights Watch (HRW), London-based Forensic Architecture and open-source investigative unit Bellingcat reveal that US air strikes hit a western Aleppo mosque on March 16, killing at least 38 people and injuring dozens of others.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed they targeted “an al-Qaeda in Syria meeting location”, killing “dozens of core al-Qaeda terrorists” after thorough surveillance.

Air raid hits Syria mosque, civilians killed

But interviews with locals, coupled with photographs and video of the building, show it was a well known mosque in the village of al-Jinah that hosted lectures every Thursday evening, according to the investigation.

Researchers also allege that the US launched Hellfire missiles at civilians as they fled the mosque.

Ole Solvang, lead researcher on the HRW investigation, told Al Jazeera that: “US forces failed to take the necessary precautions to minimise civilian casualties. Based on statements from US military personnel, they didn’t know this was a mosque, which reflects poorly on their intel.”

HRW interviewed by phone 14 people with first-hand knowledge of the attack, including four who were in the mosque at the time of the attack.

In carrying out the investigation, HRW used research provided by Bellingcat, which analysed video footage and photographs from the attack, and Forensic Architecture, which created models of the mosque and a reconstruction of the attack.

The three organisations conducted “separate but complementary” investigations into the attack, said Solvang.

“Our analysis reveals that contrary to US statements, the building targeted was a functioning, recently built mosque containing a large prayer hall, several auxiliary functions and the Imam’s residence,” according to Forensic Architecture.

Witnesses told HRW that the attack began about an hour after the Maghrib (sunset) prayer and roughly 15 minutes before the Isha’a (night) prayer.

“Even if there were armed group members in the mosque, understanding the nature of the targeted building and the pattern of life around the building would be crucial to assess the risk to civilians and take necessary precautions to minimise civilian casualties,” HRW’s report said.

“Striking a mosque just before prayer and then attacking people attempting to flee the area without knowing whether they were civilians or combatants may well have been disproportionate and a violation of the laws of war even if there were armed group members in the mosque.”

Four witnesses that researchers at Human Rights Watch spoke with estimated there were 300 people attending a religious lecture at the mosque when the attack began.

After the drone destroyed the northern segments of the building with two 500lb bombs, worshipers who fled where then targeted with what researchers from Forensic Architecture and HRW identified as likely Hellfire missiles.

US forces often use “double tap” tactics when targeting al-Qaeda and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), and it would appear that they were operating on this premise in al-Jinah as well.

“We can’t say that they deliberately targeted civilians, but … nonetheless, they were civilians according to the information that we have,” said Solvang.

“People who attend the mosque and locals both said it was run by peaceful people, and first responders told us they did not find any weapons amidst the rubble.”

Pentagon spokesman Eric Pahon said at the time of the strike that US surveillance of the target area indicated evening prayers had concluded before the attack.

He said the building that was struck was a “partially constructed community meeting hall” that al-Qaeda leaders used to gather and “as a place to educate and indoctrinate al-Qaeda fighters”.

HRW has called for a full and transparent investigation into the attack, and has asked that all findings be released in as much detail as possible.

“When viewed in the context of increasing civilian casualties, both in Syria and Iraq … we are concerned that these are signs of less stringent procedure and verification of targets,” said Solvang.

The US is leading a coalition of nations in the fight against ISIL in both Syria and Iraq.

Coalition air strikes on Monday killed at least 13 civilians in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Az Zor, according to a UK-based monitor.

Last month, US strikes in neighbouring Iraq killed as many as 200 civilians in one day.

According to a recent report by Airwars, a group that monitors US-led coalition air strikes, March was the deadliest month yet in the coalition’s 32-month-long campaign in Iraq an Syria.

Wunsdorf, Germany – It’s late afternoon in Wunsdorf, a small town 50km south of Berlin. Winter has left the landscape dry and hazy, so the lights are already on in the local refugee camp.

A team of guards, all of them German, has been watching over the facility since it opened last February. It’s a sprawling campus, complete with its own kindergarten, infirmary and school.

Families sleep in the main building – a former government administrative office. Young, single men sleep in containers outside – two or three in each room.

According to Wolfgang Brandt, spokesman for the regional home affairs office, it currently houses 630 people from several countries, including Syria, Iraq and Iran. The occupancy rate, however, is well below the camp’s capacity of 959 people.

One of the residents, Mohammed Al-Khayeri*, is currently working out at the camp’s gym located inside the main building. Since arriving in Germany last September, the 23-year-old Iraqi has tried to spend as much time exercising as he can.

“I’m a little fat. I want to lose my belly,” Al-Khayeri says as he cracks a smile that belies his otherwise sombre demeanour.

Dressed in a black T-shirt, grey sweat pants and white Puma trainers, he recounts how he had to leave his family behind in 2014, as he fled the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS).

Exodus of refugees

Travelling via Turkey and along the Balkan route, he spent a total of $3,200 getting to Finland. But when his asylum application was rejected after a year and 10 months of waiting there, he was forced to take refuge in Germany.

The Syrian refugee: Giving back to Germany

Al-Khayeri had known very little about Germany before he came, only that Chancellor Angela Merkel was welcoming refugees at a time when other countries were not. That was enough.

Germany hosts nearly a million refugees, most of them came last year as part of the exodus of refugees to Europe fleeing war in Syria and Iraq.

He and his 100 or so travelling companions – all single men – sometimes had to sleep in the forest or contend with thieves. “Maybe I’ll die today, or tomorrow,” he says he often thought to himself in his darkest moments. He struggles to contain his emotions as he recounts his journey.

Al-Khayeri’s family is still in Iraq.

Al-Khayeri makes sure to pray five times a day in the camp’s prayer room. There is no mosque here though – an observation which would be unremarkable in any other location. Here that fact is noteworthy because this is the exact site on which Germany’s first mosque was built back in 1915 as part of a plan to encourage young Muslim men to fight for Germany during World War I.

It all goes back to a time when war was starting to smoulder across Europe. The German aristocrat, adventurer and diplomat Max von Oppenheim presented Kaiser Wilhelm II with a grand plan.

To boost Germany’s chances of winning the war, he reasoned that the country should re-engage Muslim soldiers captured from Russian, British and French forces by convincing them to wage a religious war against the allies – the British, French, and Russian alliance.

In 1914, Oppenheim wrote: “In the battle against England … Islam will become one of our most important weapons.”

The German-Ottoman alliance

The plan, a convenient corollary of the German-Ottoman alliance, was formally launched by Turkish Sultan Mehmed V shortly after the start of the war. From a mosque in Constantinople, the Sultan declared Britain, France and Russia the enemies of Islam, calling upon the Muslim subjects of those countries and their colonies to resist their oppressors.

According to the fatwa that was subsequently issued, any Muslim that engaged in war against the Ottomans would have to pay the highest penalty.

In the same year, two prisoner of war camps were built in Wunsdorf and Zossen – 7km away. Wunsdorf’s Halbmondlager (Half Moon Camp) – so called because of the high concentration of Muslims – held about 5,000 prisoners at its peak, while Zossen had more than 12,000.

Troops from India and African colonies, as well as from the Crimea, Kazan and Caucasus, received special treatment in Wunsdorf.

The camp had a relatively small number of occupants per square metre, friendly prison staff and the free exercise of religion. Complete with a cupola, minaret and prayer room, the wooden mosque’s inauguration coincided with the beginning of Ramadan in 1915.

Islam was seen as a tool to achieve Germany’s political and military objectives. “It was actually the Germans who were observing whether all the rituals that belong to [the] Islamic faith were [being] carried out or not,” says Reinhard Bernbeck, a professor of Near Eastern Archaeology at the Free University of Berlin.

It was the Germans who strongly encouraged the Muslims to pray five times a day, for example, Bernbeck adds.

Friday sermons were used to politicise the prisoners, and a propaganda newspaper called “al-Jihad” was circulated within the camps. The mosque, stylised to remind the prisoners of different Islamic civilisations, included calligraphic inscriptions urging them to join the religious war.

Germany’s relationship with Islam

Despite the calculated efforts, only a small proportion of the Muslim prisoners of war ended up fighting for the German side. At least 1,100 people from Tatarstan – now part of Russia – 1,084 Arabs and 49 Indians defected.

But some of those soldiers requested to be sent back to the PoW camp because the preferential treatment they had enjoyed there was so much better than life at the front.

Ultimately the project was considered a failure.

Only 15 years after its inauguration, the mosque was demolished.

The camp stood beside the Moscheestrasse (Mosque Street), which exists as a relic in the town, which has a current population of 2,485. The town keeps no record of the number of immigrants. It is the only street with that name in the entire nation. As if to serve as commentary on Germany’s relationship with Islam, the street is very short – about 100m long – and it leads to a cul de sac.

The Wunsdorf’s PoW camp was also used to pursue scientific ends. Linguists, ethnographers and biological anthropologists were invited to capitalise on the “good fortune” of having had the world brought to them.

The researchers thought of “cultures in terms of standardised units, where basically everybody was an object that stood for a lot of people”, says Bernbeck.

Researchers measured everything; from the circumference of prisoners’ skulls to their body mass. They were made to dance and sing and generally put their culture on display. A Lautarchiv, or sound archive, was set up in 1915 by Wilhelm Doegen to catalogue words and sounds as well. Using a phonograph invented by Thomas Edison in 1877, prisoners were called upon to record idioms, fairy tales or even the story of the Prodigal Son into the device.

As Bernbeck puts it: “This was part of the trajectory of German academic culture that went straight into the Nazi period.”

Muslim immigrants

By 1917, most of the prisoners were sent to labour camps in Romania. Since then the Muslim community in the region has remained small, although it has never entirely disappeared.

Out of Germany’s population of 82 million, nearly five million are Muslims, according to the most recent census data released in 2015.

World of Doner – a Turkish-run shop – is one of the only shops open on Zossen’s main square on a Saturday afternoon.

Berdan Cacan, 17, is there most weekends to help out in the family business. His brother first came to Germany from Turkey, and many of his relatives have settled here too, including brothers, uncles and cousins.

He hopes to continue living in the area after doing an apprenticeship at an insurance company. And although he says he has not experienced much discrimination, he recalls one incident that caused him concern. “Two or three guys came in here demanding my father go back to his country,” he says.

Cacan says the men did not get violent, adding that “the event was an outlier”. He regrets that there is still no mosque in the area. “If there were one, we would go,” he says.

Across the street, a woman in a bright blue headscarf pushes a baby stroller as her small son skips along beside her. The child, recognising Cacan, runs across the otherwise vacant square towards him and they chat in German.

Wunsdorf has played a strategic role in many of Germany’s key historic moments. Between 1939 and 1945, the Wehrmacht High Command was located nearby and from the end of World War II until 1994, Wunsdorf served as the headquarters of the High Command of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany. With 35,000 Soviet troops stationed there, along with their families, the area came to be known as “Little Moscow” by local residents.

Refugee camps attacked

Today, the area is in the news again because of the refugee camp lying on exactly the same patch of land where the mosque stood decades before. Like a number of other refugee centres across Germany, the Wunsdorf camp suffered an arson attack.

On May 16, 2015, shortly before its planned opening, two young locals with alleged links to the far-right set fire to two waste containers. According to the Frankfurt Allgemeine newspaper, the suspects drove into a heap of sand while fleeing from the police. Fireworks and 20 banners with xenophobic slogans were found in the car.

Opinions about the camp among other residents are mixed. “Do you think it’s fair that they get money from the government whereas we have to work?” says one Wunsdorf local, a native German, who declined to be named.

His car is parked outside a kebab shop called Neco’s Grillhaus, down the road from the camp. The shop is run by a Turkish man named Ali Ilker, who commutes between Berlin and Wunsdorf each day to take care of the business his uncle set up in 1996.

Ilker says he knows everyone in the town by name, “From the youngest of children to the oldest residents,” he adds proudly, lifting his hand from his knee to above his head.

“Sure, some people were against the refugee camp before it opened. This place has a long history with foreigners, you know? But since the refugees arrived at the camp, there have been no problems,” Ilker says.

His burly German customer, however, disagrees. He recalls a scenario in which refugees were caught shoplifting, a situation which, to his dismay, did not lead to the police being called. “You can be sure the police would have been called if it had been a German,” he says.

A group of similarly disgruntled residents have come together to start a facebook group called Wunsdorf Wehrt Sich (Wunsdorf fights back). It has 2,039 followers and features posts that, among other things, have celebrated Donald Trump’s election as US president.

Al-Khayeri, the Iraqi refugee, recalls an afternoon last October when he and some friends took a walk around town. They came across a former bunker with a sign in front of it. It contained a warning written in several languages, including Arabic, telling people not to walk in the area. Undetonated bombs still lay in the ground. “That made me think of Iraq,” he says.

A Syrian refugee who now works for the Red Cross explained to him that the bunker is from World War II. The Syrian also told Al-Khayeri about the Muslim prisoners kept here during the war that preceded it.

When asked about how it makes him feel to live in a place with that kind of history, Al-Khayeri just shrugs his shoulders. Right now he just wants to focus on getting his papers and moving on with his life. He smiles politely and goes back to the gym.
