It is adorable to see people who acclaimed themselves as intellectuals and brains ridicule the bench and trade mark of intellectualism. More so, when the arrogant intellectualism is paraded by atheists.
The self-acclaimed loud speaker of atheists and atheism in Nigeria, one Mr. Leo Igwe dug a ditch for himself and inflicted an irredeemable humiliation on himself when a rag article written by him said,
“Muslim atheists are trying to deny other atheists the same rights that they enjoy.”
Before I demonstrate how he rediculled himself and his so called intellectualism (atheism), we will look at the conflicting and diretionless remarks of his, first.
Leo Igwe as a grand pa and babby sitter of atheists in Nigeria, while trying to rescue the misguided Bala from the established law to ensure societal stability, the so called igwe remarked;
“One source said that these were atheists who had allegedly made comments that insulted Muhammad or posted comments that annoyed Muslims.”
We ask a very swift question, why will atheists, revile what others believe? Expecially a human whom others hold in high esteem. Would leo igwe and fellow atheists not sue for damages, if their reputations are attacked?
Would Leo Igwe allow his mother to be drawn nude? It is absurd for one to insult or denigrate an entity whom others hold in high esteem and then expect inexistence of law in bringing culprits to book and handcuffs.
There is freedom of speech. There is no freedom to insult others beliefs. There is no freedom to revile.
Mr Leo further nailed himself when he said, “Most atheists in Nigeria are in the closet due to fear of being persecuted or killed by extremists. The situation is worse and more dangerous in Northern Nigeria where sharia law is in force in most states. Until recently, the atheist movement in the region has been underground. However, there has been growing visibility of atheism in Northern Nigeria since Mubarak came out as an atheist in 2014.”
Leo igwe should sing his poem of Christian extremists to Christian’s who will persecute or kill atheists by his preamble. As for Muslim areas, there are laws (Sharia law) established to tackle any individual that denigrate religious heros, personalities and beliefs in public. Christian areas do not have this, it is only expected that they are likely to take laws into their hands.
If most atheists are in closet due to fear, how come atheist movement is visible?
Is the movement made up of wind and sea breeze?
How can most atheist be afraid and at the same time be visible with a “movement”?
What is Mr igwe saying? That there are pyramids in space?
The Addiction of Atheists
Atheists selling point, is to insult, denigrate, ridicule religious beliefs of others in their eyes (to show they are advance and theists are backward in stone age). This is why in a society where this (ridicule) is banned, they lose steam and motion.
You are free to say you’re atheist, but just don’t insult and denigrate others religions. Atheists can’t do without the latter. They need that fame as they defame. They need to defame to attain fame.
Had Muslim laws made to appear like “the Inquisition”, Bala and Leo Igwe would not be alive. It is only when Bala publicly reviled Islamic entities that he was arrested.
Cutting Igwe to Size
He continued;
“It may not have occurred to them(Muslims) that they too are atheists.”
Just to shut mr igwe up, the opposite of atheist is theist. Those who believe in God and religion aren’t atheist. Rather, they are theists.
He also added that;
“In this piece, I argue that we are all atheists because atheism entails a lack of belief in a god or gods. And everybody is an atheist in relation to one god or another. My submission is that if we are all atheists, why are some Muslims in Northern Nigeria persecuting fellow atheists?”
1. Mr igwe Leo and his fellow atheists are the only ones who are atheists.
2. It is a lie that atheism is lack of belief in God or Gods. It is so shameful to say otherwise like Leo igwe did.
Atheism is the belief that “God doesn’t exist.” The supreme being, one who made all that exist, doesn’t exist. This is atheism.
Leo igwe is only trying to play with already established understanding in other to market his low cut-and-nail pseudo definition of atheism.
He corruptly added;
“In Islam, there is this saying: “There is no other god but Allah”. Take note, “no other god”. This statement is an affirmation of belief in god as well as a declaration of disbelief in other gods. So concerning other gods, Muslims are atheists. Muslims are “unbelievers”. They are infidels. Like atheists, Muslims do not believe in the Christian god. They do not have faith in Zeus, Vishnu, Osiris, Amadioha, Sango, Ogun, Urim, Tsumburburra, Haptu, and thousands of other gods that human beings have worshipped throughout history.”
Leo igwe low budget thought is a copy and paste vomit of Richard Dawkins and Ricky Gervais.
First and foremost, Muslims are theists, not anti-theist or atheist like Mr Liar-nus (Igwe).
Muslims are referred to as Mummin (Believers) by God Almighty.
The Muslims and other holders of belief in God all agree that there is an entity worthy of worship and veneration. It is not inexistence of God as held by atheist.
The Muslim contention is, direct your worship properly to the entity worthy of it.
Allah Almighty (the creator of all that exist) is the only one worthy of worship.
Muslims believe that it is an act of misguidance to worship other than the creator. Not inexistence of a creator.
Muslims believe that, what most people or all people worship exist. But, they aren’t worthy of human worship because they were created and not creator;
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٞ فَٱسۡتَمِعُواْ لَهُۥٓۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَن يَخۡلُقُواْ ذُبَابٗا وَلَوِ ٱجۡتَمَعُواْ لَهُۥۖ وَإِن يَسۡلُبۡهُمُ ٱلذُّبَابُ شَيۡـًٔا لَّا يَسۡتَنقِذُوهُ مِنۡهُۚ ضَعُفَ ٱلطَّالِبُ وَٱلۡمَطۡلُوبُ
O people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose. And if the fly should steal away from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.
[Al-Hajj:73]
يَدۡعُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُۥۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلۡبَعِيدُ
He invokes instead of Allah that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error.
[Al-Hajj:12]
In spite of their non direction of worship to Allah and saying their god is what they worship, Allah says (Muslim should say), “… Your Lord and our Lord is one.”
This implies that the one who created us and you, and is worthy of worship is Allah Almighty; not what you worship aside from Allah.
وَيَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ سُلۡطَٰنٗا وَمَا لَيۡسَ لَهُم بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞۗ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٖ
And they worship besides Allah that for which He has not sent down authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the wrongdoers any helper.
[Al-Hajj:71]
Liar-nus went further with his low budget thought;
“The difference between Muslims and other atheists is that other atheists go one god further in their disbelief. They do not believe in the Allah-god. So all Muslims are atheists, even though all atheists are not Muslims. And to make a clearer distinction between Muslims and other atheists, Believers in the Allah-god will be described as Muslim atheists.”
Like I have said, Muslims are theists. All believers in God or gods are theists. One who doesn’t believe in God’s existence is an atheist. An example is Leo igwe.
The beautiful thing about theists is, they hold that there is a supreme being or entity worthy of worship. This is the in-depth definition of theists.
Mr Leo did copy and paste of the theory of Gervais incorrectly. It is actually that,
“We are all atheist when it comes to most God’s humanity has believed in historically, atheist just go one god further.
So, you believe in one God, but there are 3000 to choose from. Basically, you deny one less god than I do.
You don’t believe in 2999 gods and I don’t believe that in just one more.”
This is my response;
We are Vegetarian when it comes to not eating most animal products. Vegetarians just go few animals further.
We are all flat earthers when it comes to most modern models of Earth humans have believed in historically. Flat earthers just go one model further.

According to Mr Igwe;
“In Nigeria, Muslim atheists exercise their rights to freedom of belief and unbelief- their freedom to believe in Allah/prophet Muhammad and to unbelieve in Urim and Ogun. Muslims exercise their right to freedom of expression including their right to express their belief in Allah and their unbelief in other gods such as Odin and Krishna. In declaring their unbelief in other gods, muslims atheists make and could make statements that others could considers to be insulting, provoking and annoying.”
At age 50, leo igwe, actually needs to Shut up! You have nothing to offer.
Be your atheist. But don’t defame what we believe in. If you find fame in defaming what we hold in sanctity, we find fame in dealing constitutionally with your unconstitutional conducts.
Message to Mr igwe and his fellow atheists
وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي مِرۡيَةٖ مِّنۡهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغۡتَةً أَوۡ يَأۡتِيَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمٍ عَقِيمٍ
But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day.
[Al-Hajj:55]
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱرۡكَعُواْ وَٱسۡجُدُواْۤ وَٱعۡبُدُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ وَٱفۡعَلُواْ ٱلۡخَيۡرَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ۩
O you who have believed(Muslims) bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good – that you may succeed.
[Al-Hajj:77]
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدۡخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفۡعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ
Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe (Muslims) and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allah does what He intends.
[Al-Hajj:14]
I will Inshaa-Allah concentrate in debunking the farce posed as intellectual position by leo igwe.
