About to months ago, an interaction with a relatively menial worker opened another page that exposes the reality of some needy Muslims who, out of poverty, lose their deen in pursuit of survival. The said menial worker was a woman who said she would be going to a church to get the food promised to them. Sadly, despite dancing and singing to the point of tiredness, no food was given.
Following the publication of the story, an individual required that we get her the foodstuff with some cash. Consequent to this noble act, the KnowIslam Project set up a committee and included monthly food donations to vulnerable Muslims.
Last month, through Al-awn, the KnowIslam Project donated foodstuff to a deaf widow who is about 60 years old in Ede, Osun State. We pray that Allah rewards all donors.
