The anonymous writer of the misleading article penned that he converted from Islam to Christianity because Islam gives no guarantee of salvation. Over times, we have found scriptorial conversion stories flying around the internet. The purpose is just to mislead lukewarm Muslims. Salvation itself is a concept Christianity cannot explain beyond reasonable doubt.

Here is a comprehensive rebuttal to the misleading article.

1. Islam gives no guarantee of Salvation?

Salvation as understood by Christians is rooted in the belief that the sin committed by Adam was such a grave one that we would all be punished for it, but out of God’s mercy, he sent his son and FORCED him to die on the cross (without the son’s consent) so that whoever believes in the son shall not perish but have everlasting life and shall be washed clean of Adam’s sin; and that is salvation.

Of course, such salvation can never be found in Islam, since Islam is not such a terrifyingly oppressive religion that punishes children for the sins of their fathers.

Allah says: “And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never would We punish until We sent a messenger.”
-Sura Al-Isra’, Ayah 15.

“And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a CLOSE RELATIVE”
-Sura Fatir, Ayah 18

In Islam, you do not worry about the sin of a father you do not know, rather, you will only be asked after a messenger is sent to you; according to the Bible, this is not so.

Numbers 14:18 says: “The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.”

Ezekiel 18:20:
The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.

Deuteronomy 24:16
Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.

Secondly, according to christians, God sent his son, Jesus, and forced him to be slaughtered just so he could use his son’s blood to wash the people free from the sin of Adam.

Forced? Yes, Jesus was forced according to the Bible! When he was to be crucified ‘for the sake of the people’s sin’ he cried out “Dear Lord, why have you forsaken me?” Had it been that God had informed him that he would be dying for the people’s sin and Jesus also consented, he would have been smiling at that moment, rather than asking God why he had betrayed him.

It is therefore understandable that Islam does not advocate this kind of cruel and inhumane salvation that necessitates you believe that God killed his son without the son’s consent to save you from a sin you were not there when it was committed.

Surprisingly, the end result of this salvation, according to christians, is that “whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life”

Beautiful! If salvation is all about everlasting life and forgiving of sins, then Islam gives you exactly this same salvation without demanding that someone be innocently killed for the sin of another’s father. Allah says: “But those who believe and do righteous deeds – We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein THEY ABIDE FOREVER. For them therein are purified spouses, and We will admit them to deepening shade.”
-Sura An-Nisa’, Ayah 57

“And those who believe and do righteous deeds – We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do.”
-Sura Al-Ankabut, Ayah 7

Now, what more is on offer in the ‘Christian slavation market” that Islam does not give to you at a cheaper price?
According to Christianity, if you were to be righteous from the day you were born till you die, you still wouldn’t have everlasting life because of a sin Adam committed, and that can only be erased when you believe Jesus (was forced to) die for you.
In Islam, once you are righteous, you don’t worry about Adam, and you have eternal life!
And what salvation could be more easily attainable than this!

2. Jesus is the word of God, therefore, he is God, The Saviour.

Before proceeding too far, we must acknowledge first, that if Jesus being ‘the word of God’ is enough to make him a saviour, then we have billions of saviours.

Allah says: “And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the WORDS of Allah would NOT be exhausted.”
-Sura Luqman, Ayah 27

Essentially, the words of God are so much that Jesus being one does not make him special enough to be worthy of any special position, but nevertheless, it is essential to review the reason Jesus was singled out as a special being in the Qur’an.
Point of correction! Jesus was not singled out as the word of God in the Quran, there was another!

“Verily, the likeness of ‘Eesa (Jesus) before Allaah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: “Be!” — and he was”[Aal ‘Imraan 3:59]

Jesus is described as the Word because he was not created in the usual way in which others are created, rather he was created in an extraordinary way: he was created by the command of Allaah: “Be!” This is the Word in question; he was not created by means of a male fertilizing a female, as is the usual way in which Allaah creates human beings, and praise be to Allah, he was not the only one created in this way, as clearly stated, Aadam was created in a similar manner. So, which of the two words of God should then be our saviour?

And there should be no debates over whether or not the Qur’an referred to Jesus as a saviour and appealed to muslims to take him as God, as the following verses make clear.

“O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allaah aught but the truth. The Messiah (Jesus), son of Maryam was (no more than) a Messenger of Allaah and His Word, (“Be!” — and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam” Suuratu Nnisaa’.

“The Messiah will never be proud to reject to be a slave of Allaah, nor the angels who are the near (to Allaah). And whosoever rejects His worship and is proud, then He will gather them all together unto Himself.” Quran 5:172

And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah ?'” He will say, “Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.
-Sura Al-Ma’idah, Ayah 116

No one who has been blessed with a sincere mind would read a book full of so many verses decrying Jesus’ position as a god and all he would be able to pick out is that he is the word, and therefore worthy of worship. What’s more? There are so many other words and being the word does not make Jesus special.

Meanwhile, it is a lie that Jesus is the word of Allah. Jesus isn’t the word of Allah but a word from Allah. Christians twist meanings to their advantage.

“…O Mary!  Behold, God gives you good news of a word from Him, who shall become known as the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary…” (Quran 3:45)

“…The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of God, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary…” (Quran 4:171)

“…God gives you good news of (a son whose name is) John, (who comes) to confirm a word from God…” (Quran 3:39)

In summary, Jesus is God’s ‘Word’ because he came into existence by God’s Word – ‘Be’ – as the Quran describes in another passage,

“His word which He conveyed unto Mary…” (Quran 4:171)

3. “And I Will Make Those Who Follow You (Jesus) Superior To Those Who Disbelieve.”

Allah says: “[Mention] when Allah said, “O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.
-Sura Aal-E-Imran, Ayah 55

Before we use this verse as proof for the validity of Christianity, we need to understand if the Qur’an regards the Christians as “Those who follow Jesus”

‘Following’, in this context, means acting in accordance with the dictates and tecahings of Jesus, and according to the Qur’an, what were the teachings of Jesus?
a. That he (Jesus) was a messenger (and nothing more.)
b. That a Prophet would come after him whose name is Ahmad.

Allah says: “And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, “O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad.” But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, “This is obvious magic.”
-Sura As-Saf, Ayah 6

c.That he was a servant of Allah.
[Jesus] said, “Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet”
-Sura Maryam, Ayah 30

d. That Allah is our lord and he is to be worshiped.
[Jesus said], “And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”
-Sura Maryam, Ayah 36

Apparently, if Jesus called “worshipping Allah” the straight path, then when the Qur’an refers to followers of Jesus, it is certainly referring to those who follow him upon this straight path of worshipping Allah alone. Do Christians worship Allah? Apparently not. So, the followers of Jesus in the quoted verse refers to the Muslims rather than the Christians and the disbelievers refer to the Christians rather than the Muslims. How?

Because Christians are the ones who disbelieved in Jesus’ teachings as mentioned in the verse above, therefore to use the Qur’anic verse as proof for Christianity is an act of absolute ignorance.

4. “Jesus Was Sinless, Muhammad Was Not.”?

It is against the teachings of Islam to compare Prophets by undermining the status of one or citing the mistakes of another, rather, what Islam teaches is that we venerate all the Prophets, believe in them and love them.

But it does not surprise us that a Christian would undermine the status of a Prophet when the book he believes in – The Bible – says in the gospel of Matthew that Jesus is one of the descendants of Solomon son of David, and that their ancestor Perez was the illegitimate offspring of Judah son of Jacob. (Matthew 1:10)

In the Gospel of John (2:4) it says that Jesus spoke disrespectfully to his mother in the midst of a group of people!

In the Gospel of John (10:8) it says that Jesus testified that all the Prophets who had come to the Children of Israel were thieves and robbers!

It is not for us as Muslims, to disparage a Prophet to establish the superiority of another, but it surprises us that a Christian should try to prove to us that Muhammad is a false Prophet because he was asked to seek forgiveness while Christians believe in David’s prophethood while the Bible accuses him of adultery, and it is also established that  Jesus himself said, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”(mark 10:18)

What is most beautiful however, is the fact that the Qur’an never referred to Jesus as being sinless as the author fabricated.
Quran 19:19 which he uses as his proof says:
He (The angel) said, “I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a PURE boy (Jesus)”
-Sura Maryam, Ayah 19

If Jesus being referred to as pure is enough to make us turn to Christianity, then, Muhammad would be more deserving of our followership. Why? Because the Qur’an actually affirms that Muhammad is not only pure, but he even purifies others.

Allah says: “It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them.”
-Sura Al-Jumu’ah, Ayah 2

Who then should we follow? One who is pure or one who will purify us?

5. “Muhammad Recommended killing Enemies While Jesus Recommended Loving Them”?

His proof: “And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush ”
-Sura At-Tawbah, Ayah 5

A review of the preceding verse can give us an insight into the kind of eye defect the writer is suffering from.
it says: “Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].”
-Sura At-Tawbah, Ayah 4

Apparently, the preceding verse explains that the verse is not for the generality of disbelivers, as some have been exempted, and they are those who have been given an assurance of protection, those with whom treaties have been signed and those with who do not seek ways or support others over the Muslims.

To balance the effect, it has been said in ten Qur’an:
“And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.”
-Sura Fussilat, Ayah 34

However, it must be noted that repelling bad with good does not mean LOVING one’s enemies, as Islam does not actually preach LOVE for enemies as loving enemies is suicidal and stupid.

Webster’s defines ‘enemy’ as: one that is antagonistic to another
especially : one seeking to injure, overthrow,or confound an opponent.
And it defines love as;
“to like or desire actively : take pleasure in someone or something”

Would it not be suicidal to desire and take pleasure in someone seeking to injure and overthrow you? Islam is a practical religion, and it asks us to repel the bad with good, but not to LOVE them.

What is most surprising though, is the thought that the Bible taught the art of loving one’s enemies; whole this was theorized, every practical time in the Bible shows that the Biblical characters were actually unable to practicalize this commandment of loving their enemies.

Before we proceed, it is necessary to remind us of Jesus’ saying that
“Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teachings come true”
Mathew 5:17 (Goodnews translation)

Now, we can then consider the laws of Moses as ones Jesus also agreed with.

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death.  Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

“They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13NAB)

“Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods.  In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully.  If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock.  Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it.  Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God.  That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt.  Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction.  Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you.  He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors.  “The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him.” (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

It is apparent from these, that one would be dumb to leave Islam for Christianity with the false claim that Christianity preaches all-round peace.

The Jesus of the Bible the writer placed so high that he taught to love enemies was quoted to have commanded,

Luke 19:27
But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them —bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”

Isn’t that a good way to love enemies? Kill them! But Christians never read this part, they run to the Qur’an to cherry pick a verse and derive conclusion. Such is Christianity!

6. “Mohammed just affirmed, but Jesus Christ confirmed his words with all kinds of miracles and resurrection of the death.”

It is a clear stupidity for anyone to claim Jesus Christ performed a single miracle. Jesus never performed any. Jesus like other prophets were divinely helped to show superiority over their contemporaries. God aided them to win hearts and solve impossible questions. Every time Jesus performed “miracle”, he prayed to God, why does he pray if he has the power?

John 5:30
By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

In another verse, Jesus confessed,

John 11:42
I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

Even the crowd believed Jesus could do nothing save God,

John 9:33
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

Contrary to the lies Christians tell, Muhammad too had numerous miracles performed with the aid of Allah. But we Muslims are not obsessed with them. The Qur’an is the best of the miracles, for over 1400 years and still counting, no similar book, no corruption, no interpolation and no revision. Is this so with any other book on earth?
Among other miracles of Prophet Muhammad as aided by Allah are multiplication of food, manifestation of water, hidden knowledge, prophesies, healing, splitting of the moon, the talking tree and so many others.

As for the resurrection of death, it is somebody who dies that can resurrect. Jesus wasn’t crucified nor killed.

That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;-
— Qur’an, surah 4 (An-Nisa) ayat 157–158

The Bible itself said Jesus didn’t die.

Hebrews 5:7
During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

If not conjectures, fabrications and deception, which day of the week did Jesus die, which day did he resurrect? What was his last word on the cross? Who first noticed Jesus rose?
These are questions that gives Christians headache.

7. “I converted because Mohammed is asking the Muslims to turn to Christians to get the truth ( surah 10 v 94).”

“So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.” (Yunus 10:94)

Quoting a verse is easy, but to confirm the intention is another thing. The Tafsir of the verse above contradict the intention of the writer.

From Tafsir of ibn kathir, we read that,

Narrated ‘Ata bin Yasar: I met ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘As and asked him, “Tell me about the description of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) which is mentioned in the Taurat (Torah).” He replied, “Yes. By Allah, he is described in the Taurat (Torah) with some of the qualities attributed to him in the Qur’an as follows: ‘O Prophet! We have sent you as a witness (for Allah’s true religion). And a giver of glad tidings (to the faithful believers). And a warner (to the disbelievers), and a guardian of the illiterates. You are My slave and My Messenger I have named you Al-Mutawakkil (who depends upon Allah). You are neither discourteous, harsh nor a noisemaker in the markets, and you do not do evil to those who do evil to you, but you deal with them with forgiveness and kindness. Allah will not let him (the Prophet ) die till he makes straight the crooked people by making them say: ‘La ilaha illallah’ (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), by which ‘blind eyes, deaf ears and closed hearts’ will be opened.” [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 3/2125 (O.P.335)]

The passage does not state that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was in doubt, nor does it state that the Muslims should be in doubt. The passage then concludes by commanding that we should never doubt the Qur’an, “so never be among the doubters”. This passage therefore, does not give authority to modern-day Christians to be judges about the truth of Islam. To argue this, would be to ignore the entirety of what the passage says.

If we are to wear the thinking cap of the Christians, if Muhammad asks us to ask the Christians for the truth, which of the book will the truth be found? The one of 66 books, 73 books or above 80 books?
KJV, RSV, Or NIV?

8. “I converted because despite Mohammed’s claim to be the seal of the prophets,he is dead and will never return, but Jesus Christ whom I hated before died and resurrected and will come back to fight the Antichrist ( even according to Islam).”

This is hilarious! Are prophets meant to be immortal? Where is Abraham the father of faith himself? Does his death invalidated his rank?

Jesus returning is a proof he didn’t die in the first place. And his second coming implies he is going to die the real death at that time. Jesus is coming back as a Muslim!

9. “I converted because despite Jesus Christ being surrounded by several women,he did not seek to have s*x with them unlike Mohammed who even had sex with Zaynab the wife of his son Zaid, surah (33 v 37).”

Ignorance is indeed a disease. If you had converted truly because of this, you need brain surgery. The verse itself defeated your claim

Al-Ahzab 33:37

And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to the one on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, “Keep your wife and fear Allah,” while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is to disclose. And you feared the people, while Allah has more right that you fear Him. So when Zayd had no longer any need for her, We married her to you in order that there not be upon the believers any discomfort concerning the wives of their adopted sons when they no longer have need of them. And ever is the command of Allah accomplished.

Muhammad never committed an illegal sexual intimacy with Zaynab, he married her legally as Zayd also legally divorced her. So what is the headache?

10. “uptil this day, the name Jesus delivers all kinds of captivity unlike the name of Mohammed.”

This is the biggest scam of all the biblical verses. Corona virus has refused to vanished in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus that could not save himself from being walloped, flogged, nailed in Golgotha?
Jesus’ name can do nothing. Only God saves.

Isaiah 43:11
I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.

11. “I converted because Mohammed says all Muslims will go through hell (surah 19 v 71) while Jesus Christ gives eternal life to all those who come to him ( heaven) John 3 v 17.”

This is false. The Muhammad who gave glad news to his companions that they will enter Paradise?

Fussilat 41:30,
Indeed, those who have said, “Our Lord is Allah ” and then remained on a right course – the angels will descend upon them, [saying], “Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.

Apart from deliberate attempt to misinterpret the Qur’an, the successive verse to the one quoted by the writer exposed him.

Maryam 19:72
“Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees.”

However, it is surprising that the writer never knew the Bible said everyone will be salted in the fire.

Mark 9:49
Everyone will be salted with fire.

12. “I converted because Jesus never attacked someone to take something from him, while Mohammed claims war booty surah (8 v 1).”

It is a good thing you didn’t say Muhammad stole nor robbed the people. War booty is legal to be shared. But as for biblical Jesus, you lied. Jesus stole in the Bible.

St. Matthew 21:1-2
As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me.

Jesus of the Bible sent his disciples to steal a ride.

13. “I converted because the birth of Jesus Christ changed the whole world and not a community and many more reasons.”

It is not debatable that Jesus confessed himself that he was sent to the lsrealites only.

Matthew 15:24
He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

Whereas, Muhammad is a mercy for the mankind.

Al-Anbiya 21:107
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.”

14. “my brother my sister, only Jesus Christ saves. He is the way, truth and life.”

Every prophet is the truth and life during their time. You have to believe in them to earn eternal rest. And it is the Muslims who truly believe in Jesus. We pray the way he prayed, we believe God is one the wah he preached (mark 12:29), we believe Jesus is a messenger of God (Job 17:3).

15. “Jesus was never a Muslim,he is the savior of the world and He loves you and wants to save you. ”

To say Jesus was never a Muslim is to say the writer is really ignorant of the term “a Muslim”. A Muslim is one who submits to the will of God. And we read that, Jesus said,

John 6:38
“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me

So Jesus was a Muslim. One may now ask, but Jesus never observed Ramadan, nor visited Mecca? Islam was perfected with the prophet hood of Muhammad, peace be upon him. And all the pillars of Islam came in bits, till the last was perfected. The most important of all the pillars is to accept God is one, not three in one nor one in three, and that is exactly what Jesus taught. (Mark 12:29.

Therefore, to conclude, it is not true that Christianity brings salvation. Only Islam does.

Aal-e-Imran 3:85

And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.

Al-Baqarah 2:135

They say, “Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided.” Say, “Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists.”
