Raafat Maglad, an elderly man in his 70s who was stabbed last week has forgiven his attacker.
Raafat, the Muadheen who calls to prayer at Regent’s Park Mosque checked himself out of the hospital after he was admitted following a slash in the neck by a 29-year-old man.
The 29-year-old-man is in custody following an arrest on suspicion of attempted murder.
Still with a dressing on the very deep cut on his neck and right arm in a string, Raafat told reporters, “I forgive him. I feel very sorry for him”
“…What is done is done, he is not going to return”, he added.
“He is a human being and this is my faith. What happened to me is my faith.”
