AlhamduliLlahi Rabbil ‘Alameen. ACADIP NIGERIA successfully held a reception for over 400 reverts to Islam, awarded some personalities that have contributed immensely to the growth of Islam and also a convocation for AICOS’ students in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. This is not the official report of the event.
So, yesterday, I gained something which I think is beneficial to old and young. An old woman, probably in her 70s came to me and asked for the ACADIP Support Group form. She also wants to make a monthly voluntarily contribution of 1,000 naira minimum. May Allah forgive me, Ameen. I hesitated at first but her statement got me thinking seriously.
The woman said to me, “Where is the form? See us now, there is nothing for us again except “àtúbọ̀tán” (striving for the Hereafter). SubhanAllah! This is not just pertinent to elderly people but anyone who intends to meet his/her LORD.
To the glory of Allah (SWT), the first convocation of AICOS students was successful. Of the AICOS students, the finest four were announced and given immediate appointment. I remember that day when I sat and Mallam Yusuf was awarded. He said something which he said to all the awardees yesterday, he said;
“Man can only award, only Allah can reward”
I said to myself the same thing I said to myself when I first heard him say it,
“Man can only award, only Allah can reward… For those whose intention is to please Allah”
Can any school of theology give their finest four to debate our finest four.
May Allah (SWT) forgive our sins, accept our deeds as acts of ‘Ibaadah and make Jannah our final abode. Ameen.
