NUPELAND UNDER SIEGE (1)
The current siege and onslaught on Nupeland championed by the deranged witchdoctor and chartalan, Hasan Patigi, is being imposed and funded by the Royal father’s who are his chief hosts and clients. While at Mokwa, he was hosted and granted full support by the traditional head of that town. There are confirmed reports that the traditional head of Mokwa arranged for his accommodation among other things. Some notable Emirs from Edu Local Government Area were among those that visited him, in search for spiritual cure.
Currently, he’s in Patigi where he’s being hosted and given full support by the Emir. Soon, he will make his way to Lafiagi and its environs. That supposed intellectuals occupying Traditional stools fall cheaply for an impostor and support an entrenchment of Shirk and magic is indeed appalling. Perhaps, more appalling is the fact that some of our ELITIST elder brothers with sound university education and high sociopolitical standings have also joined the train of his pilgrims. Indeed the words of Allāh is forever true. He says:
وَإِذَا أَرَدْنَا أَن نُّهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَاهَا تَدْمِيرًا
“Whenever We intend to DESTROY a society, We command its ELITES (to obey Allāh) but they act rebelliously in it. So the decree of PUNISHMENT is justified and We destroy it utterly.” (Q.17:16)
The followers of Hasan Patigi refer to him as SHAYKH. In the Islamic parlance, this title is not thrown at every Tom and Harry. It is one reserved exclusively for those with sound Islamic scholarship and erudition who have distinguished themselves in the field of Da’wah to pristine Islām. Who was Hasan Patigi before his sudden emergence and crusade? Where did he attain Islamic scholarship? What’s his degree of knowledge? What are his qualifications? Who are his students? What are his contributions? These are pertinent questions that we need to ask our gullible folks who are trooping enmasse to embrace this fake cleric. If Hasan Patigi claims to be a Rāqī (spiritual exorcist) who casts out spells, what are the things he uses for Ruqyah? In Islām, there are standard procedures for performing exorcism! Is anyone asking these questions?
Like the infamous Shemi of Raba, Hassan Patigi also strips people he accused of witchcraft and humiliates them. Young ladies and old women are stripped completely of their clothes before his hundreds of followers and in some cases, forced to urinate in each others’ mouths!

Is this wickedness and dehumanization what leaders and elders of Nupeland are happy to unleash on the innocent, poor and helpless mercy in the name of crusade and salvation in the 21st century?
Hasan Patigi claims to have the power to make barren women fertile and has been FOOLING a lot of people with fake PT results issued by his cohort and partner in crime. Where’s the Tawhīd (belief in monotheism) of our people? There are pictures of Hasan Patigi touching strange women in the name of salvation. Is that the teaching of the Prophet ﷺ? If our so-called intellectuals can be this gullible, one ceases to wonder why we have always played second fiddle and benchwarmers in the political scheme of things in Nupeland. Is this the kind of foolishness that will make anyone entrust affairs of state in our hands?
Hasan Patigi is NOT a Muslim cleric. He has no known Islamic knowledge. In fact, no one has heard him recite verses of the Qur’ān or quote ahādīth of the Prophet in his entire speech so far. Is this the kind of person you’re submitting yourselves to for salvation? A magician and con artist?
The practice of Magic is an act of Kufr and anyone who practices magic is a Kafīr. Allāh says:
وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَكِنَّ الشَّيْاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ
(Q.2:102)
Similarly, the Prophet ﷺ said:
اجتنبوا السبع الموبقات، قالوا: يا رسول الله وما هن ؟ قال: الشرك بالله، والسحر
“Beware of 7 destructive sins…ascribing partners to Allah, magic…”
Sometimes in early 2000, a mentally deranged man in Edogi Dukun claimed to have been a Waliyy and had people from all over Nupeland traveling to see him and seek his blessings. I remembered vividly that dad رحمه الله was vehement against it and warned the people in his Jumu’ah Khutbah to desist from such nonsense beliefs. He described the man as an insane fellow who requires urgent psychiatric treatment. Expectedly, the Sūfīs insulted and cursed him for disbelieving in a man who had been certified by one of Shaykh Niyāsi’s progenies. A few years later, his true colours were exposed.
Whatever became of Waliyy Edogi?
And more recently, whatever happened to the infamous witchdoctor, Shemi Raba?
