Last night, I had a discussion of over two hours with Alhaji Ishola Adepoju (Mallam Yusuf Adepoju’s Father). AlhamduliLlah, the octogenarian is fit as ever.
After benefiting me with the history of MSS library, UI, the first Jummu’ah Salah held in same school, how his degree was held, his encounter with a Bible teacher who said Bàbà will convert to Christianity after 6weeks of teaching him (Bàbà later nailed him, another story), he ended with a motivating story.
Alhaji Ishola Adepoju narrated to me that, following a threat on Mallam Yusuf Adepoju’s life, someone called him to come take Mallam Yusuf away from Akure, FUTA. Baba said he responded by saying, “If I have sent him to school and he decides to propagate Allah’s Cause, I can do nothing about it. In fact, if he leaves school for Da’wah, I do not mind!”
Tomorrow, Sunday, January 12, 2020 is not the celebration of a Father, who was and still is a dogged fighter for the Deen neither a glorification of a son whose exploits in the field of Comparative religion has led to the reversion of thousands to Islam by Allah’s mercy, it is the marking of 25 years of propagating Allah’s Cause, uncovering the cover-ups of the Bible thumpers and the sensitization of lukewarm Muslims who have been misguided by the lies of the gospellers.
