Question 2:
Did Jesus attend any church? If YES, what day did he normally attend it? And finally, which of the churches would you recommend for proper understanding of christianity as a religion?
Response:
Jesus actually didn’t attend church according to the bible but he used to meet with his disciples to hold congregational meeting and some teachings, this is termed synagogue.
What is the meaning of synagogue?
The term synagogue is of Greek origin (synagein, meaning “to bring together”) and means “a place of assembly.” So, in modern times the word temple is common among some Reform and Conservative congregations.
The Jehovah witnesses don’t go to church, they only have meetings and their evidence is that Jesus didn’t has a church, so, he never attended one.
In the bible, the meeting was not held on Sundays but Saturdays which is (sabbath day), that is the reason behind the Saturday meeting of the seventh day adventist churches.
Note that Arabic and Aramaic have some similarities, they’re like sister languages, in this light, “Sabbath means Sabt in Arabic” which means the seventh day of the week – that is, Saturday. Check Mark 1:21, Luke 4:16, and so on.
To shed some more light, Jesus advised his followers to pray indoor silently in the book of Matthew 6:6 but the Christians do directly opposite. Jesus never sang, shouted, drummed, jingled bells, danced or gyrated – all those, he never engaged in them for once but the Christians do them.
Jesus worshipped with his head on the ground, he never engaged himself in entertainments, not even once. The book of Matthew 26:39 reported about Jesus as thus; “Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed…” He even performed ablution in some places.
I reminded them to recommend a church but they couldn’t, they just said they would prepare and meet with me again, so, we exchanged contacts.
Question 3
Did Jesus call himself a god or a son of God?
Response:
Jesus did not claim to be a god or a son of God, he is a messenger and a servant/slave of Allãh. He was asked in the book of Matthew 26:63-64
“But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God. *You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man* sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
He rejected the allegation and affirmed it that he was a son of man and not a son of God.
Acts 3:13 (NIV) reported “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus.” Also check Acts 4:27. Nevertheless, the fact that Jesus is a servant/slave of God is so well known that even the King James Bible called him by this title in Matthew 12:18. Referring back to Isaiah 42:1, Matthew identified Jesus as the servant of the one true God Yahweh and not His son.
