They found it difficult to produce a direct response as they were both perambulating. They started giving excuses to wave the questions but I insisted. Instead, one of them tried to change the discussion saying, christianity is not a religion and with that, he just roped himself further, I’ll come back to that.
Later, I responded to the questions and explained a lot to them.
QUESTION 1
Was Jesus a christian? If YES, give me the reference of where he mentioned himself as such in the bible.
My response:
Jesus wasn’t a christian because, he knew nothing about christianity as he never heard the word either “christian” or “christianity” throughout his time before ascension. The word christianity was mentioned for the first time in the book of Acts 11:26 as thus:
“Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. *The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.*” Acts 11-25&26
Note that, Saul is the same person as Paul. There’s no any record that Jesus knew anything about christianity. And Paul was an enemy of Jesus even though he never saw him, he used to be a persecutor of the followers of Jesus, he later claimed to have been a born again and took part in the naming, he and the Barnabas.
Funnily, the Bible preaches Islãm more than it does for christianity. Jesus was reported to have said in the book of John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Meanwhile, Islãm is the religion of peace and at the same time, the way of life.
Conclusively, the book of Romans 6:22 had it recorded that you’re a slave once you’re forgiven your sins, take a look:
“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.” NIV Bible.
Indeed, Allãh forgives His true slaves and being sin-free makes them holy while the result of the maintained holiness leads to Paradise (eternal life {Jannah}). All those qualities in the book of Romans befit none but the Muslims.
