Islam means the total submission to the will of Almighty Allah and being a Muslim is the greatest favour from Allah.
Being a Muslim and understanding the religion is a blessing from Almighty Allah.
The Qur’an serve as a guide to all Muslims which offers a solution to any problem of the society. There are a lot of problems in the society today and the solution is God’s consciousness.
Allah says;
Surah Ar-Rad, Verse 11:
لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِّن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَالٍ
“For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah’s commandment; surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition; and when Allah intends evil to a people, there is no averting it, and besides Him they have no protector.”
We all commit sins and forget to repent, the lord who created us all is merciful and forgiving.
Islam is a complete way of life leading to a balanced way of living. Islamic teachings and principles can provide solution to the preventions of individual, social and personal problems.
Many of the problems today are due to the fact that the world in which we live in is rapidly becoming the world of self consciousness. Brotherhood leads to the unity of man, due to the economy we find ourselves in we all have forgotten unison.
Allah says;
Surah Al-Hujraat, Verse 10:
إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
The believers are but brethren, therefore make peace between your brethren and be careful of (your duty to) Allah that mercy may be had on you.
We face complicate problems in the social economy, international and other spheres. Guidance is needed in all this path.
The true remedy is for us to turn to Allah with the sincerity of worshipping him and abstaining from all that he forbids.
Once we turn to Allah with sincere repentance, he will lead us out of the darkness into light. He will guide us along the path and give us peace.
“…….Indeed, Allah loves those who are
constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.” – Quran 2:222
