Barcelona Star and Spanish professional footballer, Ansu Fati, has taken to his Facebook page to express his pride in being Black and Muslim.
The 17-year old, who is Barcelona Senior team’s youngest goalscorer ever, was born in Guinea-Bissau in West Africa.
His Father is Bori Fati, an ex-footballer.
The youngster is also the youngest player to feature for Barcelona in the competition at the age of 16 years and 321 days, breaking the previous record held by Bojan Krkić .

Sadio Mane
The Senegalese-born professional footballer is known for his adherence to Islam and acts of charity. In an interview, he said,
“Religion is very important to me. I respect the rules of Islam and I pray five times a day, always. I won’t touch alcohol. There was no conflict between religion and the fact that I wanted to play football. I was brought up correctly and in the right way and my parents are proud of the fact that I am a footballer.”
Paul Pogba
Born to Guinean parents, the Black-French professional footballer is a proud Muslim and has spoken against Muslims being terrorists.
“Islam is not the image that everyone sees, terrorism,” Pogba told LifeTimes podcast. “What we hear in the media is really something else. It’s something beautiful.”
He had also been to Mecca for Hajj. Commenting on the pilgrimage, he said;
“It made me change, realize things in life. I guess, maybe, it makes me more peaceful inside. It was a good change in my life because I wasn’t born a Muslim, even if my mum was. I just grew up like that, respect for everyone.”
Mohamad Salah
The Egyptian professional footballer was the most celebrated Muslim footballer in 2019. His humility and simplicity have been credited to his Islam.
Salah’s goal celebration involves performing Sujood, the Islamic act of prostration to God, and sometimes, sighted raising his two hands in prayer.
