Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari has died.

After testing positive to the Coronavirus, he was moved to a private hospital in Lagos to manage the disease.

Femi Adesina, the presidential spokesperson announced in a tweet early on Saturday. he wrote;

Since its outbreak last year in Wuhan China, 2,248,864 people have been infected, 154,145 people have died while 571,523 have recovered at the time of this report according to worldometers.

Since the lockdown in some states with two weeks extension, there have been arguments against the existence of the Coronavirus. Consequently, the lockdown is not taken seriously by some people including religious leaders.

Nigeria has a total of 493 confirmed cases, 159 recovered and 17 deaths.

Mr. Kyari’s death may change the opinion of those who do not believe that there are cases of the Coronavirus in Nigeria as well as those who criticize the lockdown order.
