Exposing the concept of trinity

Know Islam, Know Paradise

According to Christian Theology:

1: Jesus is both God at the same time the Son of God.

2: Mary is both the Mother of God at the same time the Daughter of God.

Are you confused yet? Yes, No? Let’s continue:

3: The Father is not the Son.

4: The Son is not the Father.

5: The Son is not the Holy Spirit.

6: And the Holy Spirit is neither the Father or the Son.

7: But both the Fathers, Son and Holy Spirit are the SAME Gods.

Are you still confused? Yes or No? Let’s continue;

8: The Father God has a Son. But God Jesus has no Son.

9: The Father God has no Father. But Jesus God has a Father.

You still confused? Yes or No?

10: The Holy Spirit God has No Son. But he is the Same God as the Father.

Still confused?

11: There is One God in heaven. But Three of them bare Record. Not one of Them.

12: 1st Person Father; 2nd Person Son; 3rd Person Holy Spirit are not three God’s but Three Persons.

13: Jesus or the Father can never be the Third person in the Trinity. The Third person is the Holy Spirit. But they are ALL the same God not Three Gods.

Still confused??

14: God Father sent God Jesus to the World. They are One

15: God Father gave God the Son Authority. But They are the same God.

1 Corinthians 14:33 King James Version (KJV)

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

No why would you be??

A careful study of the concept of trinity made me conclude that a trinitarian Christian is one to whom his thinking and beliefs are directly or indirectly congenial to one who is pantheistic, panentheistic, deistic, polytheistic or agnostic. Directly congenial in the sense that both the trinitarian and others listed afore would share the same abode in the hereafter and indirectly congenial because in a trinitarian’s thought, he is a monotheist viewing the one God as being truine while in reality, the concept of trinity and the afore mentioned concepts are gross misconception of the true God.

I hope the time is not far that the lucky ones are granted mercy from above to see God as ONE who is absolute, eternal, one who was not begotten neither did he begot. One who sleeps not nor slumbers. He who sees all yet doesn’t need to be everywhere.

And to HIM, is the return of mankind.

Lovely, may Allah reward you abundantly. Akin.

  2. Proffy says:

It’s quite funny when men try to argue or justify spiritual things with physical explanation. Can you use the same explanation to justify how man exist as One and Three – spirit, soul and body – at the same time?

Your correct answer to this will help you to clearly understand why and how God could be ONE & THREE at the same time.

    cf Gen. 1: 26 – 31

    • Ridwanullah says:

Shout up,! spirit and soul aren’t different. And you can’t withdraw or send ur soul or spirit out of ur body on an errand or else you are dead. So what’s difficult to understand in that.

      • Proffy says:

Bros, if my soul and spirit are the same why is their definitions different. The application of the two even greatly differ from each other. Even dictionaries are careful in their choice of words when defining these two words.

Lastly, if the two terms are the same, that means a Jinn is a soul+spirit.

      • Proffy says:

About the issue of withdrawing or sending ur soul or spirit out of your body, any occultic person will confirm this to be so cheap and easy.

  3. knowisla says:

Differentiate between a soul and spirit

    • Proffy says:

Literally, your soul is wat makes you relate with the mental realm – logical reasoning, thinking, your will and emotion.

While your spirit gives you the ability to relate with the spiritual realm – the ability to communicate with God or spirits (for the occultic world).

  4. Victor Adegbe says:

Lucas, may God help us come to assurance of the truth.

First, the Bible wasn’t at anytime written in English. It was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew, and translations from one language to the other could obscure some things. For example, if you want to translate the word, “Galaxy” to my language, you have to either choose to give a very long explanation, or you just simply say “Stars.” Now just using the word “Stars” will obscure “Galaxy.” Should we then leave a literature in a foreign language simply because of a few obscurings? That is the challenge we have with the word translated as “God.”

Now the word for God in Hebrew is Elohim. You may not know, but the truth is that in Hebrew, words that end with ‘im’ connote a plural or a plurality. So Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God [Elohim] created the heaven and the earth.” God was introduced to us as a plurality right from the start!

When man was to be created, this was the clear language used,
“And God said, LET US make man IN OUR IMAGE, after OUR LIKENESS: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis1:26&27
    Plurality was depicted there.

When Man fell, here the Language used again,
“And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as ONE OF US, to know good and evil…” Genesis3:22

Even if you want to argue that the use of ‘us’ and ‘our’ in Genesis1:26-27 that I’ve quoted above is majestic, what do you have to say about Genesis 3:22? If it was to be majestic, certainly it would have read, ‘Behold, the man is become as us’ but he says, “The man is become as ONE OF US.” This is clearly plural.

So from the name, plurality is connoted; and from the statement, plurality is both expressed and implied.

This plurality keeps being shown forth throughout the Bible, particularly the Old Testament that Muslims seem to cherish. Let me give you some further passages.

“Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven” Gen19:24

For length’s sake, I’ll cite Amos 4 for you to read carefully.

So plurality was admitted to, as far as God is concerned in the Bible — and particularly in the Old Testament!

    Oneness was also admitted to.
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD” Deuteronomy6:4.

This can confuse the mind at first glance but we see God striving all the while to explain this to us all the while, in fact, right from the start! He made man in his image and he made man and woman. Male and female, yet both called man. He made them to marry and from marriage onwards, they become one flesh. Ho! How can two separate fleshes become one flesh, yet distinct? That is a mystery! Man was created to declare the mystery all along. His creation was to explain the mystery of the person of God, that God is a plural entity.

Wait, but if God isn’t this mysterious, he wouldn’t be worth worshiping and serving!

I rest my case here for now. I did this to help you belief what you have been resisting.

    • knowisla says:

To start with…. Can you provide this verse in its original language?

“Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven” Gen19:24

      It actually reads,

“Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the SKY out of heaven” Gen19:24

I’ll keep the version for you so you can argue

      • Victor Adegbe says:

Lucas, I’m not even here to argue. I came to clearly explain, and I’m sure you got a clearer understanding than you ever had on the subject matter.
If you have questions on the matter of plurality of the entity called God in the Bible, ask. But striving to get an argument from me will fail.

        • Victor Adegbe says:

Besides, what translation do you refer to? I need to know. I quoted from KJV all along.

However, even if a translation says so for Gen19:24, that does not negate the doctrine that I’ve clearly put out. What I mean is, even if you remove that singular passage from my article, overwhelming evidence already abounds promoting the plurality of God.

          • knowisla says:

You are talking to a former Christian. You are not the one to explain the concept of trinity to me.

            From the SKY

            From the Lord

How does the Lord raining brimstone and fire from the sky teach trinity?

  5. Victor Adegbe says:

Friend, I am really not scared or intimidated about the fact that you were formally a Christian. Truth is, I know what I have believed and I am ready to give a defence, by God’s grace, of the word of God to anyone, Atheists, Muslims and Christians alike.

Now how does “The man is become as ONE OF US…” not show plurality?

How does Elohim not depict plurality?

I wanted to not make my response too long, but I have to now. So here in Amos 4, let’s go:

    Amos 4:6-13

“And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

7  And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

8  So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

9  I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

10  I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

11  I have overthrown some of you, AS GOD OVERTHREW SODOM AND GOMORRAH, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what ishis thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.”

In case you didn’t see it, the person talking is called THE LORD. Very clear in verse 6. Thereafter, the pronouns used for him were “I” and “Me.” In verse 11,

“I have overthrown some of you, AS GOD OVERTHREW SODOM AND GOMORRAH, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.”

The LORD did something as GOD did something and just in case you want to be deliberately confused, he clearly told us who he is in verse 13:

” For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what ishis thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, THE GOD OF HOSTS, IS HIS NAME.”

So the LORD is God, who claims he overthrew some Israelites the way God once overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. Plurality in play, sir.

  6. Victor Adegbe says:

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole SPIRIT AND SOUL AND BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1Thess5:24.

Three things are to be preserved. What are they? 1) spirit 2) soul 3) body. Clearly, the spirit is distinct from the soul.

So man is a tripartite being. Now man is the image (reflection) of God, and so portrays the Trinity (properly called ‘Godhead’ in the Bible).

    • knowisla says:

Save me the long talks and address what is necessary.

      From the Lord

      From the SKY

How’s lord from lord the same with Lord from sky

      • Victor Adegbe says:

Sir, you just can’t brow-beat me. If I look well, the topic I’m responding to is EXPOSING THE CONCEPT OF TRINITY, and not God or Sky. I’m not even there on the matter of Trinity, yet, except that I helped a brother answer when you asked for biblical evidence on a different chat (I’m surprised it fell here — at least that’s how it appears to me). I’ve not begun to link the dots about the Trinity yet and you’re getting angry and upset already.
So, Lucas, according to my simple, clear explanations, is there clearly plurality of an entity called God in the Bible?

  7. Zainab says:

All these arguments of definition of this and that. What must be noted by the intellectual mind is that, its an insult to the intellect to worship a person that does exactly the same thing as you do, such as eating, drinking, sleeping, etc ALSO, anything that bows down to another, would never be God or a divine being just like Jesus did in the New Testament . Because that shows he is totally dependent on God. In conclusion, a human being can’t be worshipped.
