THE DARK SIDE OF CHRISTIANITY By Bashir Habeeb Adeshola. Part 2.

The Council of Nicaea must have been exposed to ancient belief and practice of paganism, and that is why a 19th century scholar and protestant minister by the name Alexander Gossip said “the original belief in one God was replaced by the triads of paganism which eventually absorbed into Catholic Church dogmas”.

Let’s take a look at some pagan TRIUNE gods that existed before and after Christ came to this world.

Confusion arose when the Roman pagans became Christians and intermingled beliefs and traditions. And as more and more pagans came into Christianity, it became a pack full religion of lies, deceit and paganism.

1. The historian S. H. Hooke tells in detail about the ancient Sumerian trinity

ANU was the primary god of heaven, the “father” and the King of the Gods “ENLIL” the wind god was the god of the earth and a creator god. And ENKI was the god of waters and the lord of wisdom.

2. The historian Henry William Frederick Saggs explains that the Babylonian triad consisted of “three gods” of roughly equal rank. Whose inter-relationship is of the essence of their natures.

3. In his Egyptian myths, George Hart, lecturer for the British museum and professor of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics at the University of London shows how Egyptian also believed in a transcendental above creation and preexisting one, “The God Amun”. Amun was three gods in one. RE was his face, PTAH his body, and Amun his hidden identity.

4. Dr Gordon Laing, retired Dean of the Humanities department at the University of Chicago, agrees that the worship of the Egyptian triad ISIS, SERAPIS and the child HORUS accustomed the early church theologians to the idea of a TRIUNE god and was influential in the formulation of the doctrine of the Trinity as set forth in the Nicaean and Athanasian creeds.

5. The historical lecturer, Jesse Benedict Carter, tells us of the Etruscans TRINITY. when they went to ROME, they brought with them their trinity of TINIA, UNI, and MENERVA. this Trinity was a new idea to the Romans yet they adopted it.

6. The names of Roman Trinity: JUPITER, JUNO and MINERVA.

Christianity was not ashamed to borrow from these pagan culture, Christianity did not destroy paganism, it adopted it.

To sum up, Christianity is not a religion founded by Jesus or his disciples, any modern Christian who tend to argue this will have to provide the church built by Jesus and his disciples or will have to tell us the name of the church Jesus attended with either historical or scriptural evidences.

1. Jesus never preached Trinity. He preached oneness of Allah (God) as found in the Gospel according to St Mark

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord

Mark:12:29 KJV Bible

Jesus never claimed to be God or the begotten son of God as stated in John 3:16

Judaism maintains that God has millions of sons and daughters. There are many sons of God in the bible, and the people of Israel are His firstborn. We read

And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn

Exodus:4:22 KJV Bible

Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

Luke:3:38 KJV Bible

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Jeremiah:31:9 KJV Bible

And finally, Moses (A.S) called God the Father of his followers in Deuteronomy, chapter 32. We read

Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

Deuteronomy:32:7 KJV Bible

Does it mean that all the followers of Moses were sons of God? No, the Word “son and father” were used metaphorically in the Bible.

Jesus did not pay/collect tithe, he cursed those who collect tithe. Luke 11:42 and Mathew 23:23.

Jesus did not worship on Sunday, the Jews kept the sabbath day as an holy day. This is mentioned in many places of the bibles.

Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.

Deuteronomy 5:12 KJV Bible

Exodus 16:23, Deuteronomy 5:14, Exodus 16:25, Exodus 16:26, Deuteronomy 5:15, Exodus 20:8, Exodus 20:10 and Exodus 20:11 E.t.c

In facts, the sabbath day is mentioned 115 times in the complete bible while Sunday is no where to be found in the bible. And this breed the question… Where is Sunday from?

By pressing on the evidences in this treatise, one will realized that, it is very obvious that TRINITY is unscriptural.

Listed above and in the part one of this article are some dark sides of Christianity.
