We have different types of critics; Some sincere, some not. There are some who make criticisms just to spite the criticized perhaps out of jealousy, envy or hatred while some make constructive and objective criticisms wanting the criticized to be better. One thing is certain, whether sincere or insincere, all forms of criticisms benefit the criticized than millions of praises.

ISLAM IS THE ONLY RELIGION RECOGNIZED BY ALLAH, WHY SHOULD A MUSLIM ENGAGE IN A RELIGION CALLED COMPARATIVE RELIGION?
The reader might think this question is absurd and out of it. I have come across this question and the reader will only know that criticism knows no extent when they come across this question. Everyone is ignorant about one thing or the other, the cure to all forms of ignorance is education/enlightenment. For record sake, I will be answering this misconception.
Comparative religion is not a belief system. It has no rule, tenet, fundamentals nor a laid down sets of practices. As stated in previous publications relating to these series, I have stated that comparative religion (in a broad sense) is a field of study. It is congenial to studying or teaching physics, chemistry biology etc only that it deals with religion hence personalized especially in Islam.
While you do not need to belong to a certain religion to study some courses, the same applies to comparative religion. Comparative religion is not an attempt to take over one’s religion or belief replacing it with its. In a nutshell, Comparative religion has no identity.
Linguistically, Comparative is a syntactic construction that serves to express a comparison between two (or more) entities or groups of entities in quality, quantity, or degree. While Comparative religion is the branch of the study of religions concerned with the systematic comparison of the doctrines and practices of the world’s religions.
Apart from Comparative Religion, we have other comparative terms defined thus;
Comparative research : a research methodology in the social sciences that aims to make comparisons across different countries or cultures.
Comparative literature : an academic field dealing with the study of literature and cultural expression across linguistic, national, and disciplinary boundaries.
Comparative Study : The comparative method is often used in the early stages of the development of a branch of science. It can help the researcher to ascend from the initial level of exploratory case studies to a more advanced level of general theoretical models, invariances, such as causality or evolution.
Other forms of comparative are comparative government, comparative data, comparative politics and others. When religions are being compared, it is called comparative religion not to mean that it is a religion on its own.
