Al-Hamdu Lillah

Indeed, “Verily, After Hardship Comes Ease”

At a time in which the Muslims are beset with trials from every periphery, it is only an opportunity for the Ummah to remain firm, strong and continue being Muslims , and in fact “only” Better Muslims.

I would say to my dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam, “don’t be Sad “; as long as you and I are on the true religion – believing in Oneness of Allah and all the Messengers sent to mankind.

Allah says in Surah Luqman {31:17} “Bear with patience whatever befalls you…”

Also in Surah At-Taubah {9:40} “and” Be not sad, surely Allah is with us… ”

You see, every messenger sent by Allah went through some trying moments.

That ultimately shows that as long as we exist as true believers, we should always be ready for some trying times.

And surely, to Allah is our return. {2:156}.

Our Beloved Prophet (PBUH) said: ” Verily , if Allah loves a people , He makes them go through trials . Whoever is satisfied, for him is contentment, and whoever is angry upon him is wrath .” [ Tirmidhi ]

Now, being sad is not encouraged in Islam as we read in Surah Âl-‘Imran(3:139 ) ” So do not become weak , nor be sad . . . ”

Also in Surah An-Nahl (16:127 ), Allah says ” And grieve not over them, and be not distressed because of what they plot . ”

Sadness prevents one from action instead of compelling one towards it.

The heart does not benefit through grief.

Be mindful of the fact that the most beloved thing to the devil is to hinder the worshipper in the path of Allah.

Now you know why many “Non-Muslims” out there would always dance when calamity befalls the Mujaheeddeen.

But would that stop anything? No!

Many would even say, “Come to Jesus and you shall be delivered” Yet, Jesuscouldn’t deliver himself as we read in so many places in the Bible just to highlight few:

{1}— John 5:30- Jesus was a powerless mortal man.

{2}— Mark 11:12-13 and Mathew 24:36- Jesus did not know the unseen and future.

{3}— Mathew 20:23- Jesus could not grant Paradise.

{4}— Mark 4:38- Jesus used to become weak, sleepy and tired.

{5}— John 18:22- Jesus was given a dirty slap by a soldier and he cried in protest.

{6}— John 11:53-54- Jesus always running for safety.

{7}— Mark 15:34 and Mathew 27:46- Jesus was reportedly crying on the cross for being forsaken.

As Muslims, we must repel sadness and fight in any way that is permissible in Islam.

Surah Âl-‘Imran (3:173-174) “Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. So they returned with Grace and Bounty from Allah. No harm touched them; and they followed the good Pleasure of Allah. And Allah is the owner of Great Bounty.“

No one put his trust in Allah, and regret it!

As true believers, our trust in Allah should increasingly be strong.

Allah says in Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:23) “And put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed . . .”

And as we continue to make Duah for our Brothers, let us also ensure we exhibit some patience.

Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah “(2:153) “O you who believe!
Seek help in patience and As-Salât (the prayer). Truly! Allâh is with As-Sâbirin (the patient ones, etc.).”

By leaving your affairs to Allah by depending on Him, by trusting in His promise, by being pleased with His decree, by thinking favourably of Him, and by waiting patiently for His help, you reap some of the greater fruits of faith.

When you incorporate these qualities, you will be at peace concerning the future, because you will depend on your Lord for everything.

As a result, you will find care, help, protection and victory.

Finally, my dear respected Brothers and Sisters in Islam, Allah says in Surah Al-Hadid (57:22) “No calamity befalls on earth or in yourselves but is inscribed in the Book of Decrees – before We bring it into existence.”

Allahu Akbar!!!

The Pen has dried, and the pages have been lifted: all events shall come to pass have already been written.

Whatever has befallen you was not meant to escape you, and whatever has escaped you was not meant to befall you.

If this belief were to be firmly ingrained in our hearts, then all hardships and difficulty would become ease and comfort.

A dedication to my Brothers In Islam.
