A CURE OF MINE By Ummu Ubaidah Penword
Life is seamlessly an endless void
But it draws me in even if I try to avoid
Although I must admit that I like the numbness
The degradation from rationality being so far a recess
For it keeps away the black hurt that sunk into my resistance
Making me feel stagnant in my static existence
Actions and values are beyond my reach
Pains and depressions what do they teach?
So many broken pieces, which do I pick?
A cure of mine is what I seek
I thought back to the beautiful sight of nature
Still the same amidst the different culture
In this beautiful thought lies my cure and remedy
And to know and worship the creator is a sign of being earnest
Indeed in the remembrance of Allah does heart find rest.
